Wilbur Smith, the legendary thriller writer and poet, has died at home in Cape Town. He had spent the morning reading and writing together with Niso.
Author at 88, the author has sold over 140 million books in thirty languages.
Many of his novels, 49 in all, featured Courtney’s family and their adventures over the past three centuries.
When the Lion Feeds, his 1964 debut novel was a huge success. He also had a wild personal life.

Smith was an eminent bushman and survivalist. Also a keen game hunter, pilot, and expert scuba diver, Smith is a well-known bushman.
