Max maintained that he is treated differently than other drivers, and will not change his driving style despite receiving two different time penalties at this year’s Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

The Dutchman refused to concede that he was right during the penultimate racing of the season and is now preparing for Lewis’ championship matchup.

Max ran into Lewis twice at Turn 1 in a battle for supremacy. He was then asked to return the position on each occasion. Lewis received a five second penalty for having an edge off the track.

The most scandalous moment in the Grand Prix was Max’s guilty verdict after Hamilton brake checked on Lap 37. Max had to slow down to allow Hamilton through, resulting in a ten second penalty.

Lewis was reluctantly to pass Max in front of DRS, so that he would have the speed advantage at the main straight. But Max applied his brakes first and Briton damaged the front wing.

Max said, “clearly these don’t work for everyone” as Max reflected upon the race on Thursday.

Autosport reports that he claimed: ‘The things which I did in regards to defending, two others guys in terms racing also did. And they didn’t even receive a mention of or a penality.

‘So I don’t understand because I thought it was just race hard. It was not my fault and the two other people involved in it didn’t suffer any penalties. However, it is only me that deserves it.

“Of course fighting at the front people are more critical, I suppose, but I still don’t get it.The 24-year old added: “I believe from my side what is unfair.” [is]I am not treated the same as other drivers.
