London’s teenage murder rate is at an all-time high. A 16-year old boy was stabbed in Hillingdon, making it the capital’s 30th young victim of crime in 2021.










After a Hillingdon teen was killed in an attack, London’s teenager murder rate has reached a new record. 

The capital’s 30th stabbing homicide victim has died, although he was not named.  

Yesterday, police were dispatched to the Philpotts Farm Open Space near Heather Lane in Yiewsley to assist a male who was injured.

Officers arrived and discovered the boy with a serious stab wound. He was declared dead on the spot, despite the best efforts of paramedics.

Specially trained officers are supporting his next-of-kin and have informed him.

Official identification has yet to take place. In due course, a post-mortem examination is scheduled.

Specialist Crime Command detectives are currently investigating. The investigation is ongoing and there have not been any arrests.

This kills more people than 27 in 2017. 2017 was the worst year for killings.

This year’s record is 29 more than in 2008.

  • January 19, 2009Anas Mezenner (17 years old) was discovered with stabbing wounds on West Green Road in Haringey (north London), shortly after 9pm. He was taken to hospital, but he died around 4.25AM. He had made an anti-knife crime film for media studies weeks prior to his death.
  • 25 January Romario Opia (aged 15), was found stabbing in Holland Walk Islington, North London at about 5.30pm. Shortly after, he was declared deceased at the scene.
  • February 11th, Hani Solomon (18 years old), a Wandsworth resident, was struck and killed in a brawl between two men just after 6.30pm on Ackmar Road in Fulham, West London. The victim was taken to hospital by paramedics, police and an ambulance team. He died shortly after arriving at the scene.
  • February 18, 2008 Drekwon (age 16) from Wembley was anathematized in Brent Road shortly after 11.30pm. He died shortly after being taken to the hospital.
  • February 26th, Ahmed Beker (aged 19) was stabbed just after 9.10pm in Paddington green, west London. Although he was taken to hospital by paramedics, an ambulance crew arrived on the scene and treated him.
  • March 3, 2009 Tai Jordan O’Donnell (19 years old), from Croydon in south London was repeatedly stabbed in his legs in a home in Alpha Road shortly after 12.10pm. Within minutes, emergency personnel arrived on the scene and declared him dead.
  • March 6, 2009 Mazaza Owusu–Mensah was 18 years old when he was struck in the chest by a man fighting in Edington Road Abbey Wood in south-east London. It happened at about 5.30pm.  
  • March 6, 2009 Ezra Okobia (14 years old) was killed by the fumes of a burning house fire. It happened just before 6am in Lewisham, South-East London. He passed away four days later after being taken to the hospital. After inhaling the fumes, his five-year old brother Joseph Okobia, and Victoria Amaning (34), also passed away. According to police, Ms. Amaning is believed to have started the fire.

  • March 8, 2008 Nikolay Vandev (aged 19) was attacked and stabbed with another victim (18 years old), in Tottenham’s Penshurst Road just before 2pm. The 18-year old victim was treated at the hospital for minor, non-life-threatening injuries. Mr. Vandev was declared dead on the spot.
  • March 17 Hussain Chaudhry (18), was attacked in Walthamstow’s Lea Bridge Road at 5.20pm. He was treated by an ambulance crew and police, but declared dead on the spot.
  • April 10, 2009 Levi Ernest-Morrison (17) was attacked in Sydenham Road Sydenham, Sydenham at 7.20pm.
  • April 23rd Fares Mattaou, 14 years, was knifed in Barking Road Newham (east London) just before 4:00pm. Although emergency services attempted to rescue him, he was declared dead less than half an hour later.
  • April 26, 2009Abubakkar Junior Jah (age 18), was shot and stabbed to death in Coolfin Road Newham, east London at 3.45 pm. He was pronounced dead at the spot.
  • May 7, 2009Daniel Laskos (16) was attacked in Church Road Harold Wood (east London), just after 6:40pm during a fight. His injuries were so severe that air and ambulance crews tried to revive him.
  • June 8:Taylor Cox (19 years old) was shot at Hornsey Rise Gardens in Islington (north London), around 4.25pm.
  • June 10:17-year-old Denardo Samuels Brooks was knifed in Streatham at 4.15pm. The victim was taken to the hospital, but he was declared dead within an hour.
  • June 11: Jalan Woods Bell, 15 years old, was attacked during a school run in Blyth Road in Hayes. It took place around 8.30am.
  • June 25:Tashawn, 19, was knifed in Miall Walk Sydenham, south east London just after 9:30 pm. An ambulance crew treated him but he died on the spot.
  • July 1stCamron Smith (16 years old) was attacked in Bracken Avenue Shrublands Croydon at 12.45 am. Camron Smith, 16, was found dead on the spot.
  • July 5, 2009 Tamim Ian Habimana (15), was attacked in Woolwich (south-east London).
  • July 5, 2009Keane Flynn Harling (16), from Lambeth in south London was attacked and stabbed at Oval Place (south London) around 11.45 pm.
  • July 9th: Damarie Omare Roye (age 16), was stabbed on Bensham Manor Road. Thornton Heath in south London. He was taken to the hospital, but he died 2 days later.
  • August 1, 2008 Stelios, 16 years old, was attacked at Tottenham’s Lordship Recreation Ground skatepark at 2.15pm. He died nine days later.
  • September 1, 2009 Alex Ajanaku (18 years old) was discovered in Beaumont Road Leyton with gunshot wounds around 1.30 am. Police and paramedics treated the victim but he later died.
  • October 12, 2009Hazratwali, 18 years, was attacked and stabbed to death on Craneford Way in Twickenham.
  • October 28, 2008 Kamran Khalid was 18, and was fatally stabbed in Harrow Road (Ilford).
  • November 18, 2009 Jermaine cools was 14, died from stab wounds after an altercation in London Road, Croydon. After the incident, a murder investigation was initiated. 
  • November 24, 2008 After reports of an attack involving a number of people, Raleigh Road was called by the Met at 9:45pm. Rishmeet, 16 years old, was found by police with severe stab wounds. He succumbed on the spot shortly afterward.
  • December 30:A 15-year old boy, unnamed, was found dead in Ashburton Park, Croydon, South London shortly after 7pm.
  • December 30, 2010Police found a 16-year old boy with multiple stab wounds in Hillingdon at 7.34 pm. He was declared dead on the spot despite all efforts by paramedics.
