Malala Yousafzai and her husband Asser Malik attended the gala performance of new musical Cinderalla at the Gillian Lynne Theatre in London on Monday.

24-year-old Nobel Prize Winner looked elegant in pink with black sandals. 31 year old Pakistani Cricket Coach Asser was equally stylish in black with a tee and suit.

The couple were in great spirits after they tied the knot in a private ceremony attended by just twelve guests at Malala’s Birmingham home less than two weeks earlier.

They beamed as they posed for photographs with Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and his wife Madeline when attending the occasion, which is raising funds for Malala’s fund.

Malala picked a gorgeous pink look with a floral pattern paired with stylish black sandals.

Asser, 24, completed her look by using bold red lipstick. She also wore her hair in a side parting under a scarf. Asser, the husband, looked sharp in his black suit and gray tee.

They decided to put off their honeymoon and stay in London for the moment. Instead, they spent the first few days of their marriage watching Pakistan play against Australia in the semifinal of the T20 World Cup.

Malala’s and Asser’s intimate relationship was secret to the outside world.

Asser’s only indication of blossoming romance was in July when he sent his wife a birthday card that read “Happy Birthday to Malala”, and also included a picture of them next to one another.

While it’s not clear how long Malala Malik and Mr Malik have been together, in June 2019 they were seen together while enjoying a game at Edgbaston with friends.

After being shot by Taliban gunmen, Malala won hearts all over the globe for her continued education nine years prior.

Emerald Fennell said that hosting the gala performance of Cinderella, her musical new to Malala Yousafzai to raise funds for Malala’s Fund is a huge honor.

The stage musical was written by Fennell, The Crown’s star and stars Carrie Hope Fletcher. It opened this summer following months of pandemic delays.

Fennell spoke out before the show, saying that Malala inspires everyone around the globe, but especially girls and women.

“She’s fought for equality and human rights. So, we’re happy to make a small contribution to her fund. It will mean a lot to us all.

Cinderella has been described as an ‘complete reinvention” of the fairytale classic and was based on Fennell’s original concept.

When asked about female empowerment themes, she stated that “I wouldn’t be so bold as [to] equate any of our work with Malala.”

“But I hope that any story focusing on young women can only bring joy.”

Malala (pictured, with Andrew Lloyd Webber) has continued to be a prominent campaigner for the rights of women and girls since recovering from being shot

After theatres were locked down, she said: “It’s amazing. It is truly heartwarming. We all miss it, and I am so grateful that I can be there.

Malala, aged 15, was gunned down by a Taliban man after she had campaigned for education in Pakistan for girls.

After recovering from her injuries the Nobel Prize laureate continues to campaign for the rights and dignity of girls and women.

The Malala Fund will receive proceeds from this performance, which is intended to help girls in the world learn.

Sir Ben Kingsley, his wife Daniela Lavender and musician Myleene Klass were among the others in attendance. Amanda Holden (Britain’s Got Talent judge), David Walliams, his mother Kathleen and Paul Feig, filmmaker, were also present.

Proceeds from the performance will go to the Malala Fund, which aims to support the education of girls around the world
