After a 29 year-old girl was found brutally murdered in her home on Boxing Day, a man was arrested and charged with murder.
On Sunday, police were called to Forest Gate in east London and discovered Kirsty Ashley’s body.
Today, detectives verified the identity of the victim. They also confirmed that the blunt object she was using had caused her death.
Yahya, 26-year-old, who lives in Earlham Grove was the victim of the murder and was later arrested on the spot. She is being held today.
He will be appearing in Thames Magistrates’ Court shortly.
Yesterday’s post-mortem examination at East Ham Mortuary revealed that blunt force trauma was the cause of death.

Investigators said that Ms Ashley also knew of the suspect.
Yesterday, the house was still considered a crime site and police taped it off.
Met Police spokesperson said, “Police were summoned at Earlham Grove on Sunday 26 December, 2011, after concerns for the well-being of an occupant were raised.” The address was searched for the body of a female.
On December 28th, ‘Yahya’ Aboukar (26, Earlham Grove) will be taken into custody by Thames Magistrates’ Court and charged with the crime of murder.
After concerns about the well-being of a resident, officers were dispatched to the address shortly before noon on Boxing Day.
“This was the conclusion of an investigation carried out by Met Specialist Crime detectives.
Police were dispatched to Earlham Grove at 11:55 on Sunday 26 December. The body of a woman aged 29 with injuries was found inside the house.
The deceased has been identified by Kirsty Louise Ashworth.
“A post-mortem examination was conducted at East Ham Mortuary on Monday 27th December and determined that blunt force trauma was the cause of death.
The man accused and the dead were both known each other.
