Following a Reading fatal fire, which left several people missing in action, a suspect has been taken into custody on suspicion of arson and murder.
Thames Valley Police stated that one person perished in the fire at Grovelands Road’s property.
The 31-year-old male was taken into custody and has since been released.
According to the force, the incident was not terror-related. They urged the public to stay clear of the affected area and placed roadblocks.
Thames Valley Police issued a Twitter statement stating that: “Local authorities are cooperating at the scene a large fire at Grovelands Road in Reading.
“Our police officers as well as fire and ambulance personnel are on the scene. One person has been confirmed dead, while others remain unaccounted.
“Officers arrested a man aged 31 on suspicion of murder and arson. He is currently in custody.”
