After police found two bodies, one male and one female at a Preston home yesterday afternoon, they arrested a man on suspicion that he was the murderer.
Lancashire Police were called to a house on Cann Bridge Street in the village of Higher Walton at 1:40pm on Saturday afternoon after receiving reports of safety concerns for the occupants of the property.
The bodies of two people were discovered by officers who forced their way in to the South Ribble house, Lancashire. They both died at the spot.

Lancashire Police responded to safety concerns and called the police at Cann Bridge Street in Higher Walton on Saturday afternoon.
The suspect in the murder of a 35 year-old male was arrested and is currently being held.
The police have opened a murder investigation. They say that the deaths were being considered suspicious.
Floral tributes were already placed near the house this morning.
Yesterday, a spokesperson for the force stated that detectives had launched an investigation into murder after two bodies were discovered in a home in Higher Walton.
“We were summoned at 1.40pm on November 20 to investigate a safety concern regarding the residents of Cann Bridge Street. Two people were found dead by officers who forced their way in.
“Their deaths were treated as suspicious, and currently a scene has been set up.

“A 35-year-old man from the area has been taken into custody on suspicion that they have committed murder. He is currently being held.
The family members of the victims are now being informed about this development by officers who have been specially trained. They are in our thoughts and prayers.
“A team of dedicated detectives has been assigned to this case, and inquiries are ongoing.”
As a precaution, ‘Reassurance Patrols’ have been increased in the region.
