This emotional reunion is when the father-of one is reunited and reconnected with his brother who he separated from while he was a child.
Murray Phillips (49) grew in Staffordshire’s children’s home together with Ricky. Ricky tucked Murray into bed every night until the two of them were adopted.
But after spending three years with Ricky and his adoptive family, Ricky who was in an abusive relationship with the mother, was eventually taken into their care. Murray, then nine, stated that he was unsure if he would ever see his brother again.
Tamworth’s sports bar owner started looking for Ricky when he was 18 years old. But, he kept running into dead ends.

Murray Phillips and Ricky Barnes were very close children, having been raised in care homes.
Murray Phillips, 49 from Tamworth, now has a daughter and is a father-of-1.
Ricky Barnes has resided in British Columbia, Canada the past 20 years since he moved there as a Carpenter.
Ricky and his wife, Shirley, separated 40 years ago. The ITV program team managed to find Ricky in Canada. Ricky had moved there as a carpenter to live out his life.
Murray spoke to Davina McAll about his search for his brother over the years. He always looked after me.
He said, “I miss him every single day.”
Davina reported that Ricky was found on the team. Murray, who has a partner Jenny, cried as he stated it was the best day. [his]”Life” with the exception that his daughter Laura was not born until the moment.
Ricky Barnes He is currently recovering after a stroke in an assisted living home in British Columbia. There he can now walk and speak again.
Ricky still refers to his older brother as “my Murray” even though they have been 40 years apart.
Ricky Campbell spoke to Nicky Campbell and said that he and Murray had ‘joined together at the hip’ when they were children.
Murray, who was now 18 years old, began looking for Ricky’s brother but failed to locate him. Then he contacted ITV.
Describing his brother as ‘the curly-haired boy who has a smile to light my life’, he added the pair were joined at the hip as children.
Ricky saw Murray for the first time in his present-day photo, and realised that Murray’s curly hairs weren’t what he remembers.
Nicky Campbell laughed, and he said: “Bald Head!” He’s like me.
He concluded: “Happy, joyful, and happy.”
Ricky explained why he was brought back to the home by claiming that his mother, who adopted him after he had stolen from her, had spanked Ricky with a pot.
Ricky continued to describe how social workers took him from his home. However, he claimed that he attempted to reach Murray through the children’s homes, but Murray answered the call.
Murray, when he was informed about Ricky’s reasons for moving back to his care home care home, said that he wishes he had been told truthfully and would rather have gone back in care with his big brother.
Although they are nearly four decades apart, and have traveled approximately 4,500 miles together over the years, Murray shared a similar joke about Ricky’s hairline after he saw his first picture of Ricky.
Murray cried, saying that he wouldn’t have been the man he is today without him, and thanked the team for finding Murray.
Murray revealed that he could only recall a very small portion of their time together at the children’s homes, but that he hadn’t realized what his older brother had done until he turned 18.

Ricky told his brother that Ricky wanted to be there for him when he returned to the home of the children. Murray was also informed by Ricky that he tried contact Murray decades ago, but it wasn’t possible because he didn’t know his mother.
Murray shared his family news with Ricky, and gave him a Liverpool FC shirt as a present.
Ricky also gifted his brother Phoebe a photo album of family photographs, which included some of Phoebe.
Murray heard from him that his daughter could use her left and right feet to play football.
Murray replied, “Takes after you then.”
Murray stated to the camera: “I’ve got My Big Brother Back.” It’s fab.’
