A person who allegedly tried to guide a four-year-old woman away from a pub has been arrested on suspicion of kid abduction.

The suspect was challenged by a mother or father after he approached the teenager within the Cheshire Cheese pub in Middlewich at 8pm on Saturday.

He was then detained by members of the general public outdoors the pub in Lewin Avenue to forestall him from leaving the realm, Cheshire Police stated.

Chief Inspector Claire Jesson stated: ‘Whereas this was a really regarding incident, this was remoted and the suspect was swiftly arrested.

‘I would wish to thank those that intervened and prevented the suspect from leaving the realm.

‘Now we have elevated patrols to supply reassurance and the household are being supported by officers.’
