Benjamin Mendy from Manchester has been charged today with two more rapes.
French star and international celebrity, 27, now faces six charges of rape plus one charge of sexual assault.
Four women aged 16 and older were charged by the Crown Prosecution Service with attacking them between August 2020 to October 2021.
Mendy’s co-accused, Louis Saha Matturie, 40, of Eccles, Greater Manchester, has today been charged with two additional counts of rape and one count of sexual assault. He is now facing six charges of rape as well as a charge for sexual assault.
The two men have both been summonsed to appear at Stockport Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, to face the new charges of rape. Next year, a trial has been scheduled.
Mendy, of Prestbury, Cheshire, who moved to the reigning champions for £52million in 2017, has been on remand at HMP Altcourse in Liverpool after first being charged with sex attacks in August.

Mendy’s coaccused, Louis Saha Matturie (44) of Eccles (Greater Manchester) was today charged with 2 additional counts for rape and 1 count of sexual assault. Six counts of rape, one count of sexual assault are the charges against him.
An earlier court hearing stated that the pre-alleged attack occurred at Prestbury home.
Manchester City placed Mendy on administrative suspension after the arrest of Mendy by police. This was in lieu of an investigation.
Matturie also remains under arrest. They are both scheduled to stand trial on January 24, 2022.

Mendy earns £90,000 a week and lives in a £5million mansion in Prestbury, an upmarket village near Manchester popular with fellow players.
He played in the 2018 World Cup finals, but was not part of France’s winning team. Since signing in 2017 from Monaco, he has been a part of 75 Man City appearances.
Mendy was present in Man City’s two first games against Leicester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Tottenham Hotspur this season. However, he was not available to play for the third match against Norwich City.
His next match was against Arsenal. He had already been arrested.
