Footballer received MBE, 24, for leading the fight against child poverty last year from Prince William at Windsor Castle in November

24 year old footballer was awarded MBE by Prince William of Windsor Castle for his leadership in fighting child poverty.

Following the MBE service at Windsor Castle in November, Rashford said: 'I'm trying to give children the things I didn't have when I was kid. If I did have, I would have been much better off and had many more options in my life.'

Rashford spoke out after the MBE Service at Windsor Castle, November: “I am trying to give my children things that I did not have as a kid.” If I had, I’d have been much happier and have many more choices in my life.

The striker, speaking after the Windsor Castle investiture ceremonies, said that he was going to give his MBE his mother who raised him along with his four siblings.

He stated that although it seems there is a lot happening, he explained that he was trying to provide the same opportunities for children as I had when I was a kid. I’d have had more choices in my life if I had.

“I just give them the chance and they should have it. It’s an offense for me to not give them books or meals.

“And if everyone can get together to make the small change, they will become huge changes when you see the results. I see a generation coming after me that is very special.
