Marvin Morgan was a football legend who passed away at 38.
Morgan was an active player for seventeen clubs in his football career, though he played the most at Aldershot Town (2008-2013) and Shrewsbury Town (2008-2013).
It was Morgan’s fashion brand, called ‘Fresh Ego Kid’, that saw him strike up relationships with several Premier League stars including Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Manchester United’s Harry Maguire and news of his death stunned the footballing world.
Lukaku, who described it as ‘s**t news’, posted on his Instagram story: ‘This is some s**t news man… RIP my brother you will be missed.’
Ashley Young, Villa’s winger, wrote this: “Sorry to learn the very sad news about Marv. It’s hard to believe that we were just laughing the week before. RIP BRO.
Declan Rice, West Ham’s midfielder, said: “One of the cleanest, most happy, loving people you could ever meet!” We are shocked.

Declan Rice of West Ham said he was “totally shocked” by Morgan’s announcement.
Izzy Brown (ex-Chelsea youngster) added that she is now in Preston and that she was praying for her family at MarvinNMorgan.
Jermaine McGlashan, a player just starting out in the game and who saw Morgan as his mentor, was Jermaine McGlashan.
In his emotional tribute, McGlashan wrote: ‘This one hit me. Took me under your wing when I first signed for Aldershot, was a pleasure playing with you & sharing all them memories.
‘Remember sitting on the coach talking about starting a clothing line & discussing names. My bro rest up, you’ve left a legacy.’
Aaron O’Connor, a former Newport striker added his own statement: “RIP @MarvinNMorgan @FRESHEGOKID. This life is crazy.

Morgan was seen by Jermaine Mclashan as a mentor, when he arrived in Aldershot as an undergraduate.
In his tribute to Morgan, Aaron O’Connor, a former Newport County striker said that ‘life’ is crazy.
Hendon, one of his former clubs, tweeted: ‘We are shocked to have learned this morning of the passing of Marvin Morgan at the age of just 38 years old.
‘Marvin came to us as a guest at the beginning of the 2018-19 seasons and was a huge influence during his seven appearances. His family, friends, and loved ones are in our thoughts today.
Morgan was born in Manchester and began his football career at Wealdstone in 2000.
Although he did make the Football League team with Aldershot in his final years, fashion became an important focus of his life and became a big hit among Premier League players.
Morgan was worn by Emile Smith Rowe, an Arsenal player, and Ainsley Mayland-Niles, as well as AC Milan’s defender Fikayo Toori.
