It is the exclusive London club where Cabinet Ministers and young royals rub shoulders with plutocrats and Hollywood actors – and it is also now Ground Zero for plotters against Boris Johnson.
On one evening last week, Prince William, David Cameron and Nigel Farage were all at 5 Hertford Street, a £2,850-a-year private members’ club in Mayfair – in Mr Farage’s case, for discussions with ‘a prominent Tory donor who has become disenchanted with Boris’.
Liz Truss has used the club to hold ‘Fizz With Liz’ meetings and to meet potential backers for her leadership bid.

Foreign Secretary Liz Truss has used the club to host “Fizz with Liz” meetings with Tory MPs, and also ‘Biz for Liz’ events with possible financial backers for her leadership bid. Marco Longhi (right), who is the MP for Dudley North; and Gareth Davies from Grantham and Stamford were the five ‘Wallers’ that Ms Truss met at the club to have dinner on the eve the Budget presentation by Rishi Sunak, her leadership rival.
The club is known for being London’s “most secretive and powerful members’ club”. It was also where Prince Harry met Meghan and Tony Blair had a drink with Rupert Murdoch’s wife Wendy Deng.
Loulou’s underground nightclub has hosted the dance styles of Leonardo DiCaprio (George and Amal Clooney), Mick Jagger, and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Marco Longhi (MP for Dudley North) and Gareth Davies (who represents Grantham, Stamford), were two of five “Wallers” she invited to dinner on October 5, when Rishi Sunak presented the Budget.
She stated that she was ready to’start standing up for Conservative values, and not be ashamed to do so.
Source says that Liz is not so arrogant as to vote for Boris if he is removed. “The conversation was more like, “What do you voters think of the direction of Government ?’.’?”

Ex-International Trade Secretary also handles ministerial matters there. In June she charged taxpayers £1,308 for dinner with US trade representative Katherine Tai.
Friends of Farage claim that he’s being lured by Tory donors who are fed up with Government redistributive, high-tax and pro-green policies.
Richard Tice, leader of Reform UK, says that it will support low taxes and regulation in the next election. He is also critical of the effect on businesses of Government Covid measures.
Mr Farage declined to comment on the donor in question – telling The Mail on Sunday, ‘For once I am saying nothing’ – but the club’s founder, Robin Birley, who donated £20,000 to Mr Johnson in 2019, said in September he would ‘definitely not’ give the Tories more money.
Birley explained that the Government is not particularly pro-business. It’s a very sad situation. Outside the EU, we stand all alone with an enormous debt.
“But, we don’t take the advantage of them. The deregulation I see is not happening to my knowledge. Entrepreneurship is essential for a nation. We are not moving in this direction.
“As a passionate supporter of Boris and a Brexiteer, I feel very sad and concerned.” He claimed that Farage’s visit to his home was “nothing” for him.
