The Duke and Duchess of Sussex found out they were ‘uninvited’ to a Buckingham Palace state reception for world leaders and foreign royals by reading press reports, sources claim.

Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II in London, Prince Harry was initially invited and then banned from Buckingham Palace’s Sunday events.

According to the excuse, it was only for working royals. The allegations have not been confirmed by Harry or Meghan.

DailyMail.com reached out to the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge for comments.

A source informed Page Six that Harry and Meghan received the invitation, and nobody has ever told them otherwise.

A second added: “I believe they discovered they were not invited after reading through the media reports.”

The invite was originally sent to King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla. It is expected that nearly 2000 people will attend.
