Old habits die hard.

Meghan Markle was seen shopping in some of her favourite stores close to her Montecito estate, California. It is worth $14.7million.

While many wealthy people live in the seaside community’s upscale, wealthy homes, there are also personal shoppers who help them shop the holiday shops. However these DailyMail.com exclusive photographs show that the Duchess prefers to do this herself on Wednesday afternoon.

While her children Archie, two, Lilibet, seven months, were likely having naptime, Meghan, 40, made a bee line to nearby Pierre LaFond & Co., a pint-size grocery  with upstairs rooms selling everything from Mini Rodini onesies to Il Bisonte wallets and Paul Smith socks, according to GOOP.

Meghan was definitely the best-dressed shopper on that particular day in Montecito. The locals don’t mind dressing down, even if they are wealthy.

A brown Massimo Dutti wool coat was worn, as well as Tamara Mellon boots, Bottega Veneta purse, Bottega Veneta sunglasses and LeSpecs air heart sunglasses.

Meghan left the vehicle she was driving and entered Pierre LaFond. Once upstairs, Meghan was escorted by a bodyguard.

Soon after she was done, she returned with her bags. The bodyguard was also carrying a bag containing a foldable blanket and a plastic bag.

The couple quickly threw the shopping bag in the back, and Meghan was back in her car.

They then went to nearby shops to continue their search for bargains.

After her guard left, she went shopping with Poppy’s kids clothing boutique. She browsed through both boys and girls sections before looking at the items on sale.

There she stayed for about 5 minutes before moving on to Hudson Grace. Hudson Grace is a home furniture store. Finally, she walked out with her head down and was looking at her smartphone.

As Meghan failed to find the right item at her last two shops, Meghan was quickly taken by her bodyguard into a waiting vehicle and returned home.

Clear skies and 55 degree temperatures made it a perfect day. Meghan was wearing pieces we’ve already seen in photos.

Fraser Ross, a Kitson owner and retail strategist, said that Meghan should have recycled her clothing. He also added, “It is smart of Meghan. It makes her more relatable for her fans who might be struggling because of the pandemic.”

Harry, Harry’s husband of 37 years, wasn’t present at this trip.

An onlooker said that there was a “franticness” to her shopping. She was desperate to leave the house and return to normality.
