It comes after Buckingham Palace said The Duke of York’s absence from the Windsor Castle procession and service was a ‘family decision’ amid fears that he might be booed over his links to Jeffrey Epstein and alleged abuse of one of his ‘sex slaves’.

Andrew could not be seen publicly during Garter Day, despite the Prince of Wales’ and Duke of Cambridge lobbying the Queen. Andrew is still on the orders of service, so it seems that this was a last-minute decision.

An insider at the palace said Andrew was exempted from today’s Garter Day public elements because it was a family decision.

A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said that the Duke of York would attend the lunch and investiture today, but that he wouldn’t be participating in the service or procession.

What exactly is the Order of the Garter and how did it come about? The story of King Edward III, who was inspired so much by King Arthur’s tales that he established his own knights group almost 700 years ago

King Edward III, a medieval knight, was inspired by King Arthur’s tales and the chivalry of the Knights of the Round Table. He established the Order of the Garter, his own organization of honorable knights.

The Order, nearly 700 years after its founding, is still the most senior Order of Chivalry. The Knights of the Order, male and feminine, were originally limited to the elite, but they now come from all walks of society, as a reward for their public service.

St George is the patron saint for the Order. He’s also the patriarch saint of soldiers, England and England.

The Queen can name members of the Order of The Garter without any approval of ministers and recognises those who have carried out great service to the public
Prince Charles, left, is an automatic member of the Order, while Prince William, right, is a Royal Knight, which is an 'extra' title under the order that is reserved for members of the Royal Family and does not count towards the limit

The Order of the Garter, a tradition that dates back 700 years, recognizes outstanding public service.

St George’s Chapel in Windsor is the spiritual home for the Order. Each knight must display in the Chapel a banner representing his armour, along with a helmet and crest, sword, and enamelled stallplate.

The knight dies and these ‘achievements are removed. As a tribute, the stallplates are kept and now make up one of the most important collections of heraldry worldwide.

The Sovereign chooses Knights of the Garter to honor those who served in public office or have made a significant contribution to the national life.

alt

Both the Queen and Prince Charles, as sovereigns and heirs, are automatically granted membership to the Order. They are also considered “ex officio knights”. As a Royal Knight Companion to the Garter, the Prince of Wales is well-known.

The Sovereign, also known as the Garter’s Sovereign, has the sole power to accept new members.

British and Commonwealth citizens can apply for the Garter. Sir Winston Churchill (formerly Stanley Baldwin), Sir Edmund Hillary and Sir Winston Churchill are all past members.

The current Knights and Ladies of the Garter include Field Marshall, the Lord Bramall (a former Chief of the Defence Staff), the Duke of Abercorn and the Duke of Westminster. Baroness Manningham Buller was the ex-Director-General of MI5 and the Duke of Westminster.

The Royal Knights and Ladies also has two additional orders. Royal Knights & Ladies members include Prince Philip and Prince Andrew, Prince Edward and Prince Edward. Prince Charles, Princess Royal, and Prince William also make up the Royal Knights & Ladies.

The Stranger Knights and Ladies is a second order that foreign rulers can receive, such as Harald V and Queen Margrethe II from Denmark.

New additions can be named on St. George’s Day (23 April), but the ceremony is held in Junmantle, during the Garter Procession which sees Windsor members march through.

Garter Day, the iconic annual procession where the Queen and knights parade in elegant velvet robes with glistening insignia, plumed caps, and dazzling insignia, is one the most important ceremonies on the Queen’s calendar.

Each June at Windsor Castle is a grand procession made up of knights, with a marching band, Officers of Order and grand ceremonial attire.

In the Throne Room of the Castle, The Queen will officially invest any new Companions in the Order’s emblem. The officers and members are treated to lunch by The Queen of Edinburgh and The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh. Then they walk together to St. George’s Chapel where there will be a service.

Any new Companions will be installed during a brief service. After the service, the Sovereign and the other members of Order return in cars and carriages to the Upper Ward.

Snubbed Prince Andrew heads to Windsor for lunch with Queen after royals made eleventh-hour ‘family decision’ to hide him from public view at today’s Order of the Garter ceremony amid fears he will be booed

The Duke of York – who missed the Jubilee celebrations a week ago because he had Covid – dramatically pulled out of today’s Order of the Garter ceremony, despite being a member of the ancient order of chivalry.

Charles and William were said to have blocked Andrew from appearing at today’s Order of the Garter ceremony after lobbying the Queen, according to The Sun.

Andrew (62 years old) was removed from his official duties as he prepared for a multimillion-pound settlement with Jeffrey Epstein’s slave Virginia Roberts Giuffre in order to keep the allegations of sexual abuse against him out of court.

The prince pulled out of public parts of Windsor’s annual ceremony in a last-minute turn. The prince will attend an exclusive luncheon with Queen Elizabeth II and other members.

Buckingham Palace insisted Andrew attend because the Queen had given him the honor in his personal capacity.

Behind the scenes, there were deep concerns about the public spectacle of the embarrassed prince in his shameful robes. He was also feared to be booed.

Reports say that the Queen requested him to keep out of public view and attend only private parts of today’s events. His desire to be her representative at Royal Ascot appears to have been canceled.

He is still ninth in the line for the throne and also a Counsellor to State, meaning that he can stand in for Queen Elizabeth if she becomes incapacitated or Charles and William go abroad.

Prince Andrew is reported to be living in Windsor Castle. He said that he has regular contact with his mother.

After she had stripped him from his titles, Queen Elizabeth asked him to go with her to the March memorial service for Prince Philip at Westminster Abbey. He walked his mother down an aisle in highly symbolic moments.

The Duke of York is said to have lobbied the Queen for his former status to be restored and to be allowed back to official events. He also wants his ceremonial role as Colonel of the Grenadier Guards reinstated

According to reports, the Duke of York lobbied for the Queen to restore his old status and allow him to attend official events again. He wants to be reinstated in his role of Colonel of Grenadier Guards.

However, palace aides and his family were clear to him that opposition to Epstein’s links must have prevented them from participating in the frontline duties of the royal court.

The Daily Telegraph reports that, despite not being present today, The Duke feels he should participate in state and royal events.

Sources said that the colonelcy in charge of Grenadier Guards was one of his most prized titles and that he would like it back.

He also feels that, although he has remained a Counsellor to State, he should still be present at all royal and state events. He considers his status as an HRH, a ‘Prince Of The Blood’ most important. He feels it should be restored and that his position is respected and valued.

Last night, Andrew and the Palace’s spokesperson declined to respond. However, one royal insider stated that there shouldn’t be any expectation of him being welcome back.

An insider claimed that the duke could lobby all he wants, and if he does, it is a different story. But, whether or not he will ever receive anything back is an entirely separate matter.

A spokesman said that the January statement in which he had been stripped of his positions ‘with Queen’s approval & agreement’ still “speaks for itself”.

It is believed that Prince Charles is a prominent figure among those who believe he should be treated as an outsider to protect the institution of the British monarchy.

Andrew became Colonel of the Grenadier Guards five years ago after his father, Prince Philip, stepped back from public life – and is said to have particularly enjoyed the role.

According to some reports, he wanted the official uniform of the rank to be worn at the funeral of Duke of Edinburgh last year. This led to a decision to have all royal men wear civilian morning coats in order to prevent embarrassment.

According to a source close to the royal family, the “Andrew Problem” must be addressed. A second source said to The Mail that the royals must think about how they can support Andrew. [away]From the public eye, he seeks slowly and steadily to rebuild his life.

One option was suggested that the Duke could spend more time in Scotland, but it is unlikely for him to move full-time there.

Angela Levin (royal biographer) said, “Andrew ought to be ashamed of him.

“His call to go back to work was ridiculous. This clearly indicated that he wasn’t concerned about his court case.

“He wasn’t found guilty, but there’s a lot of grubbiness around him.

Prince Andrew denied these allegations.

It was previously reported that The Queen has been holding secret talks with the Duke of York and senior members of the Royal Family about how they can help Prince Andrew rebuild his life ‘away from the public gaze’.

To determine what kind of role the Duke might play that is acceptable for the public, the Queen held family meetings at Windsor Castle.

According to a senior Palace source, “Clearly, at some point soon thought will need to be given to how to support him as, away from public gaze, he seeks to slowly rebuild his life in another direction.”

Andrew may be determined to preserve his Royal Lodge property, but he could also choose to rebuild his life here.

A Palace source said that there was a “real awareness” and “sensitivity” to the public’s feelings. The source added that there is recognition that starting to help him rebuild his life as a human being will be the first of many steps. It should not all be in front of everyone.

The possibility that they could move to Windsor Castle has been rumored for a long time. After the passing of Prince Phillip, the Queen spent a lot of time in Berkshire Castle.

But it’s clear Prince Charles will not be spending as much time there once he is crowned.

According to reports, the Prince of Wales will spend a lot of time at Buckingham Palace as part of his reign.

At 96 years old, Her Majesty will take over Thailand’s King Bhumibol Abulyadej. He ruled for 70 years and 126 consecutive days from 1946 to 2016.

An earlier month, Johan II of Liechtenstein was defeated by the Queen. He ruled for 70 and 91 years until his death on February 29, 1929.

Louis XIV, the French monarch with a reign of 72 years and 110 days from 1643 to 1715 is still the longest-reigning. The Queen, however, has been in power for 72 years. stint on the throne now stands at 70 years and 126 day, equal to King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s.

Louis XIV (pictured), also known as Louis the Great in France, was born at the tender age four. He succeeded his father Louis XIII and ruled the country from 14 May 1643 until 1 September 1715.

The milestone comes as Her Majesty celebrated her Platinum Jubilee last week, with four days of parades, street parties, and other events, after officially reaching the milestone on February 6 this year.

She released a thank you statement after the success of her jubilee, stating that she was ‘humbled’ and ‘deeply touched’ by the event and that “this renewed sense for togetherness will continue to be felt for many more years.”

In her statement, she added: “While I might not have been able to attend every event in person but my heart was with you all. I am committed to continuing to serve you as best I can, supported by my loved ones.”

This new record is added to the many others that the Queen holds, such as her title as longest-living reigning monarch.

Four generations of the Royal family appeared on the Buckingham Palace balcony: Camilla, Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Charles, Prince of Wales, Queen Elizabeth II, Prince George of Cambridge, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, Prince Louis of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge

Her Majesty became the longest-reigning British monarch in September 2015, surpassing her great-great grandmother Queen Victoria.

In March 2020, the Queen surpassed K’inich Janaab Pakal who ruled the Maya city state of Palenque for 68 years and 33 days before his death in 683AD.

Pakal the Great was believed to be 12 years old and ascended to power. He is also thought to have expanded Palenque’s influence in the west Maya states during his rule.

Between 250 and 900 AD the Mayan civilisation was at its height. It ruled vast swathes in what are now south Mexico, Guatemala and Belize.

Louis XIV, also known as Louis the Great in France, was born at the tender age four and became King after the death of Louis XIII. He ruled between 14 May 1643 and 1 September 1715.

In her 70 years of reign, the Queen has been a calm public figure. She rarely shows her emotions.

However, today’s insider revealed that she was ‘tearful’ and ‘overwhelmed’ by the overwhelming outpouring of gratitude from British citizens and others from across the Commonwealth during Sunday’s Jubilee festivities.

Many commentators consider the moment when Queen Elizabeth II appeared on Buckingham Palace’s balcony following the Platinum Jubilee Pageant to be the highlight of the event.

A vibrant green Stewart Parvin crepe Wool dress, coat, and matching Rachel Trevor Morgan hat were worn by the Queen.

The historic moment almost didn’t occur.

Sources claim that the Queen decided to go to London only three hours prior her balcony appearance.

“She wasn’t feeling great, but Prince of Wales called her and said she should come.

“He said to her that there were many people who wanted to see her, and he persuaded her to go.

The Queen was bound by duty and travelled from Windsor, England to London. She was amazed by the kindness shown her upon arrival.

A source said: ‘The Queen was totally overwhelmed by the number of people waiting to see her – she had tears in her eyes before she stepped out on the balcony.’

Social media users also rushed to commend the Queen today for her achievement.

One replied: “Today, Her Majesty The Queen is the second-longest reigning monarch, longest-reigning in-place monarch and longest-reigning female ruler in history. Congratulations Your Majesty.’

One other person wrote to Twitter, “She keeps racking up the historical events. Congratulations.’

According to reports, William and Kate could move to Windsor with big changes in store for the House of Windsor. Prince Andrew might also make a switch to Scotland to help him rebuild his life.

Plans are in motion to make significant changes for the royals this year, following family talks about the Queen’s Jubilee weekend.

Perhaps the most significant change is for The Duke of Cambridge and Duchess Of Cambridge who are set to move their family from Kensington in west London to Berkshire.

It is claimed the couple are set to move to a house on the Queen’s Windsor estate  – leaving behind Kensington Palace as their main residence.

While the Queen was said to be secretly negotiating with Prince Andrew’s Duke of York, senior Royal Family members and others about the best way for them to help him rebuild his life.

After his US legal fight is over, the Queen hosted family meetings at Windsor Castle in order to determine what kind of role the Duke would play that was acceptable to the public.

While it is understood that Andrew – seen out horse-riding at Windsor yesterday – is determined to keep his Royal Lodge estate in Windsor, one option could be for him to rebuild his life in Scotland.

Andrew, William and Kate could all experience big changes this summer. However, the US-based Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry appear to see little improvement.

According to senior royal aides, the meeting was deemed formal by the queen and the couple.

Big changes could be afoot for the House of Windsor this summer, with William and Kate reportedly set on a move to Windsor, while Prince Andrew could be off to Scotland as part of a bid to rebuild his life. It is claimed William and Kate are set to move to a house on the Queen's Windsor estate (pictured: Windsor Castle) - leaving behind Kensington Palace as their main residence

According to reports, William and Kate will move to Windsor Castle (pictured: Windsor Castle), leaving Kensington Palace as their primary residence.

According to The Sunday Times: William and Kate, in the Berkshire move will be taking their children Prince George (8 years old) and Princess Charlotte (7 years old), out of Battersea’s current prep school at the close of school.

The paper reports that George and Charlotte will be joining their older brother Prince Louis (aged 4) at a Berkshire new school in September.

William and Kate will soon be leaving Kensington Palace, their primary residence since 2017, in order to move on.

They moved from Anmer Hall in Norfolk to their new home. This was where they spent a lot of time.

According to the newspaper, they will keep Kensington Palace, their London residence, despite their move to Berkshire. Their west London press office will not be relocated.

Anmer Hall will be retained by the couple, according to reports.

A friend told the newspaper that their plans to make a permanent move after their kids have graduated from high school.

According to a friend, they love it there so much, it is their happy place.

Moving to Windsor will allow the Cambridges to be closer to Windsor’s home, where they can also visit the Middletons, Duchess of Cambridge’s parents. They live in Bucklebury, 45 minutes away, and are easily accessible by car.

Kensington Palace is William and Kate’s primary residence. According to Sunday Times, Kate and William will continue to live in their beautiful west London residence.

The possibility that they could move to Windsor Castle has been rumored for a long time. Following the loss of Prince Phillip’s beloved, the queen has spent most of her time in Berkshire.

It is clear that Prince Charles doesn’t plan on spending as much time at Buckingham Palace when he becomes King. According to reports, the Prince of Wales will spend a lot of time at Buckingham Palace while he reigns.

William will turn 40 in a week. According to reports, the royal joked that it is a daunting task.

He also hopes that the Berkshire move will allow his family to have more freedom than the London-style life.

It comes as the Daily Mail yesterday revealed how The Queen has been holding secret talks with the Duke of York and senior members of the Royal Family about how they can help Prince Andrew rebuild his life ‘away from the public gaze’.

Tomorrow’s Order of the Garter ceremony will be attended by the Duke. A senior Palace source said that meetings have been held behind the scenes in order to identify a role for the Duke, which is not the public spotlight.

As he was about to be confronted with sexual abuse allegations in civil litigation, Queen Elizabeth II’s second child, was stripped from his titles of HRH and Military Officer.

He agreed to pay a sum reportedly up to £12 million to settle the case.

The legal battle is over and the Queen held family meetings at Windsor Castle in order to determine what kind of role the Duke might play that was acceptable to the public.

According to a senior Palace source, “Clearly, at some point soon thought will need to be given to how to support him as, away from public gaze, he seeks to slowly rebuild his life in another direction.”

While it is understood that Andrew – seen out horse-riding at Windsor yesterday – is determined to keep his Royal Lodge estate, one option could be for him to rebuild his life in Scotland.

A Palace source said that there was a genuine awareness of public sentiments and sensibility. It is recognized that the initial step in his long journey to rebuilding his life, which will require support from others, must be done with sensitivity and awareness. This should not happen every day under the spotlight.

The Duke – who was absent from the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations last weekend after contracting Covid – remains a member of the historic Order of the Garter and will attend its annual ceremony at Windsor.

Sunday Mail reports that some concerns still remain at the Palace regarding a return to public life and that Andrew will be denied official duties by the Queen.

A statement at that time stated: “With the approval and consent of The Queen, The Duke and Duchess of York’s military affiliations, Royal patronages and have been returned To The Queen.”

Andrew was called an “absolute fool” for getting involved in yet another row about money.

French socialite Isabelle de Rouvre – who at one time was owed millions of pounds by Andrew after selling her ski chalet in the Swiss resort of Verbier to him – made the comment amid new claims that he is involved in a £1.6 million debt battle connected to the property. Andrew seems to be disputing the amount.

The news comes just days after it was reported that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry met with the Queen only for 15 minutes at the Platinum Jubilee.

The couple met for the first-time and introduced Lilibet to the world. Lilibet is now one year old.

The Sun reported that the Buckingham Palace staff kept the meeting formal, despite it taking place on Thursday, as Jubilee celebrations were beginning.

The paper was reported to have been told by a source: “It was a fast in-and-out job. The whole thing was very formal. When The Sun reached out to Buckingham Palace, they declined to respond.

This is the second time Prince Harry has been spotted in a pose after he played a game of polo this weekend under Californian sunlight, just a few days after returning from London’s Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations.

The 37-year old Duke of Sussex was at Santa Barbara Cancha de Estrella Polo Club on Friday to support his friend Nacho figueras’ Los Padres team. It was his first outing since June 5th, when he flew back home from Los Angeles.

The red-faced prince took a rest after working up sweat and then sank into his right hip.

As he enjoyed the LA heat and sun, he wore a green top and white pants, along with black riding boots, knee pads, and shoes. He was then seen getting on to his brown horse, and quickly putting on his helmet.

This comes after royal experts claimed this week that Harry “must have returned home feeling very sad for the things he had lost”, after he and Meghan Markle chose not to participate in Jubilee celebrations as they ‘did not have central stage seats”.

The Duke and the Duchess of Sussex, 40, missed both the Platinum Jubilee Party and Pageant – as well as the Epsom Derby during the four-day festivities.

They missed the Pageant and Platinum Jubilee Party, as well as Epsom Derby, which were both held during four days of celebrations. However, they did attend the Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral.

Meghan did not attend the Friday game. Harry’s team was defeated 12-8 by Dundee II.

Although they flew in from the USA with their two children, Lilibet (Archie) and Lilibet (Little), the couple only made one public appearance during the Jubilee weekend.

They were not seen on the Buckingham Palace balcony for Trooping The Colour and they also appeared to have been moved to the second row at the Thanksgiving service.

Katie Nicholl from Vanity Fair told True Royalty TV’s The Royal Beat the couple were not present at other celebrations, because they ‘didn’t have central stage seats’.

Hugo Vickers from the History Department added, “Harry is now Captain of Royal Marines.

“I believe he was very sad about what he had lost.”

Katie stated, “I believe it is.” [because]… they knew that they wouldn’t be in that front row.

“And they left the Royal Family? They were in the back row. Because they were not in the centre of the celebrations, I suspect that is why they left.’
