Minnesota’s five-year old was killed by an accident while recording video footage with four or five other kids during Thanksgiving Day.
Brooklyn Park Police Department officers responded to an emergency call at 10.20 p.m. They attempted first aid, but the child died on the spot.
Deputy Chief Mark Bruley of Brooklyn Park Police stated, “This is a very unfortunate incident that requires a very thorough investigation, which is currently underway right now.”
According to police, the boy of 13 years was carrying a loaded weapon and that several juveniles were present while he tried to upload a photo on social media.
Bruley said that a preliminary investigation had revealed that about 4 to 5 youths located a firearm at the house and began using it out of the garage for some kind of social media video.
The gun went off and struck the 5-year-old.
According to the teenager’s claims, he fired accidentally. He was taken into custody before being transferred to Hennepin County Juvenile Detention Center outside Minneapolis-St Paul.
The relationship between the thirteen-year old and five-year-old is not known.

According to Bruley the teen could be facing multiple counts of manslaughter.
According to reports, the gun owner may face additional charges, depending on how the investigation ends.
Burley encouraged gun owners to ensure that their children are safe from similar disasters.
“Lock them up and keep the ammunition separate,” the deputy chief advised, in reference to firearms. “We, as adults, have the obligation to ensure they’re safe.” [kids]They don’t exist.
WCCO received a report from a neighbor saying that she felt for the family who lost their child, as well as the girl of 13 years, whose lives will be forever changed.
