A young man aged 30 approaches the river crossing in his Audi S3 and reaches a resort.

After the idiot driver tried to cross the river in Romania, this is when an Audi is taken away.

One person crosses a footbridge over the river, while another with a bag of chips is asked by the driver if they are getting in the car

The driver then proceeds to enter the Teleajen river before being swept away by the strong current and breaking the bridge

Then they respond that they are interested in seeing if he is able to cross the river with success first.

The driver enters the Teleajen before the strong current sweeps him away and breaks the bridge.

There were weather warnings at the time and Dâmbovița is an area affected by torrential rains and susceptible to flooding. 

According to reports in the local Romanian media, the man was later rescued by firefighters

This isn’t the first instance of a vehicle being swept away in raging water. 

A video posted by social media last year showed a van being taken from Grassington in North Yorkshire.

The footage from inside the van shows the motorist crossing a rapid-flowing river in an attempt to follow a rough path. However, he is lifted up by the water and then swept off.

Harry Driver Smith, a nearby Masham resident claimed that he helped to recover the car.
