After footage showed her standing in the way of an aggressive pitbull and a daughter from a customer, Amazon’s delivery driver was hailed as a hero.
Stephanie Lontz, a holiday drop-off coordinator in Las Vegas suburbs, was observing Lauren Ray (age 19) screaming at Lauren Ray as the dog bit her.
Lauren had gone outside with her pit bull, which she was antagonizing.
Lauren Ray and her puppy were on the porchway at her house when she was attacked by a pit bull.
Lauren struggled to stop the animal and was practically helpless. Stephanie Lontz was a passing Amazon driver who tried to get the animal to flee.
Stephanie Lontz stood in front of Lauren Ray as Lauren tried to prevent the dog from attacking Lauren.
Lontz explained that being an Amazon driver doesn’t just involve dropping off packages. There are great deals happening every day.
Lontz was not thinking and stepped in between Lontz’s dog and the teenager. This allowed her to get back inside with her pet.
Lontz is seen stepping in between Lauren and the dog, while Lauren holds her pet. Lauren then takes the pit bull out of Lauren’s home via the front porch.
‘Bad dog!’ Lontz was heard shouting at the dog.
Lauren’s father Michael made it a point to thank Lontz on Friday for being so brave in the heat.

“The sounds made me think about my child.” Lontz shared that she would hope for someone to help her in similar situations. “I don’t think it is motherly. It’s simply-it’s human nature to do so.
“I couldn’t find the time to thank you.” On footage shot by Fox 5, Lauren Ray stated that she was shaken and not able to express her gratitude.
Lontz responded, “I wish it were different. You know, I wish more people would take action and I’m glad that I was here.”
Lontz explained that being an Amazon driver doesn’t just involve dropping off packages when there is a good deal.
Lauren is seen running onto the porch with her pet, Stephanie. Stephanie deals with the pitbull.
Lontz recounted that he had been bitten by a dog two days previously and that he had also saved the life of a two-year-old baby.
Lontz recalled, “Two days earlier I was bit by a pet dog. Two days before that, I saved a baby who wasn’t even two years old–locked in a home.
“It’s true that we go through so much, but we are there for each other when others aren’t. Sometimes it’s even not recognized.” My coworker put out the fire yesterday; sometimes, nobody is there.
Lontz was surprise by 702 Logistics couriers and Amazon workers over the weekend.
They gave her family with four tickets to a special Las Vegas Christmas attraction in the city – the Enchanted Christmas at the Las Vegas Ball Park.
“We watched that video, and it was truly something I have never seen before,” a representative from Amazon said. A representative for Amazon stated that they appreciate the service you provide to Amazon, and your entire community.
