This is the moment a car crashed head on into a cliff face near Osoyoos in British Columbia, Canada in what is thought to be a police chase.
A dashcam footage from Saturday November 27 shows the moment when a SUV in black crashes into the cliff that runs alongside the road, while trying to safely weave between traffic.
As the driver crosses the double line at high speed, the car barely passes oncoming vehicles.
It narrowly avoided a collision with a truck at one point before pulling away again.
However, the maneuver fails. After overtaking the white car ahead, it pulls back too quickly onto the right side and then skids. The car collides with the rock face so hard that it leaves the ground, spinning in the air.
Traffic is blocked both directions by the car that slides to the side.
The driver who captured the dash cam footage in his rear view mirror, Brendan Miller, had a lucky escape as the crash happened behind him.
Brendan Miller was the driver that captured his dash camera footage from the rearview mirror. He had a fortunate escape, as the crash occurred behind him in British Columbia.
Police believe the vehicle was trying to escape.

The highway 97 where the crash occurred was temporarily closed for more than an hour.

While it’s not known if anyone sustained injuries, there was a report that an ambulance flew to the rescue.
