Covid conspirators are bizarrely asserting that the new mutant strain of Covid is a hoax government because Omicron anagrams are’moronic.
Anti-vaxxers, Covid deniers and others are also using ‘oncomir’ to reorganize the words. These molecules are associated with cancer.
Disgraced celebrity chef Pete Evans is one of the hardcore virus deniers, and he’s spreading ridiculous proof on Telegram that Omicron is an enigma.
South African scientists first reported the coronavirus mutation – named Omicron – last Thursday.
This potentially fatal strain is already spreading across the globe, reaching the US, UK and Australia.
International travellers have been quarantined at Sydney after being tested for the virus by two others. A third case has been confirmed in Northern Territory.
While the majority of Australians are afraid they will contract the deadly virus from the unknown source, persistent misinformation spreadingers took advantage to increase their Covid-19-related conspiracy.

Pete Evans was a dishonest celebrity chef who posted so many falsified theories that he was expelled from Instagram and Facebook last year.

One social media post points out that “omicron” is an anagram for “moronic”.
Omicrom, according to one bizarre theory is falsely claimed to be a hoax. It’s an anagram for ‘oncomir’ which are cancer-associated molecules.
Evans, who falsely claimed Covid information that was so extensive last year, that he was removed from Facebook and Instagram. He then used Telegram on Sunday to post the insane theory, which was provided by alt-right groups from the US.
The post which includes a screenshot of the definition of ‘oncomir’ from Wikipedia has been viewed more than 10,000 times.
Irate Covid-deniers spent this weekend uploading similar images with furious commentary.
“This fake Omicron version is also an anagram for oncomir!” It’s cancer! It’s hidden in plain sight,” one woman shouted at her Facebook fans.
‘Start doing your research!’ Another woman pleaded, as if the anagram were proof of her nonscientific beliefs.
According to another theory, experts called the Omicron strain because of the way the letters were jumbled together, this spells “moronic”.

Adam Thurrowgood was apparently seen rushing through the NSW-Queensland border, before being finally stopped by the other side.

The screenshot (pictured) of Wikipedia’s definition for “oncomir” in one of my posts has been viewed over 10,000 times.
Telegram: “They are laughing themselves silly, behind closed doors, over reality that dumbed masses are set up to believe wholeheartedly this new bogus variation really exists,” a conspiracy theorist said.
‘Naming this “scariant” as an anagram of morornic is bound to wake up a s***load of people,’ someone else confidently said.
Some people have rescinded the use of the term ‘omicron’ and began to refer to the mutation instead as the “moronic” strain.
Adam Thurrowgood (a Covid Denier) is also supporting the wild theory. He made headlines last summer when he walked through a border checkpoint in NSW-Queensand without having to sign a coronavirus declaration.
The tattooed truckie shared a Facebook post which read: ‘So way back in September I predicted we would have a new variant and state of emergency early December… Hmmm Please welcome… “moronic”. This government is making us fools.
Jacquie Dudee Muller shared a bizarre theory. She once refused to wear an outer mask in a Melbourne Kmart because she felt it was ‘unacceptable’.
Ms. Muller gave a speech to Melbourne’s anti lockdown event, while on Sunday she re-posted an original meme uploaded by Rise Melbourne on Instagram.
This post includes a screenshot taken from the World Health Organisation website. It explains that Omicron, which is a sign of good fortune, was announced 666 days after Covid.
Modern culture often recognizes the 666 number as a devil symbol.

Jacquie Dundere Muller claimed that masks were “against her faith” and she continues to write conspiracies about Covid.
It read, “What an accident,”
Sixty-six days after WHO stated that Novel coronavirus was an issue on Jan 30, it now announces the omicron virus – a [SIC]A wax-resistant version of the concern.
While scientists are investigating the effectiveness of new vaccines against the strain, Prime Minister Scott Morrison stated Monday that there is no proof the current vaccines do not work.
Ms. Muller claimed that mobile network 5G, which she used to claim was “a weapon that suckers the oxygen out the air around and radiation presents as flu-like symptoms”.
Bernadette Kassar (another notorious Covid-denier) wrongly claimed that government officials used the virus to fearmonger and ‘keep you all trapped’ during the weekend.
She said that “For starters, the name says all,” possibly referring to anagram theories.
Let’s say you do some research on your own. You can draw your own conclusions from all the available information.

Bernardette Cassar, (pictured), preaches against the wearing of masks and claims that 5G is Satan’s work.
Ms Cassar, who also frequents anti-lockdown protests in Melbourne and posts about her aversion to mandatory vaccine passports, wrote on Friday: Turn off that TV and you won’t know about that deadly new strain that’s going to hit our shores soon.’
Omicron was first identified in South Africa, November 11. It has been spread worldwide since then.
Australia has closed its borders to 9 countries in Southern Africa because of fears about vaccines being less effective. But at least 2 cases were identified in Sydney, with another one under investigation.
Greg Hunt, Health Minister of Australia has asked Australia’s vaccine experts for a review on the timeline for Covid-19 booster shots due to the African Omicron variant.
The current Boosters can be given six months following the last dose, but this time the interval could be reduced to maximize protection against the mutant strain. This strain is thought to be about as contagious or even more than the Delta strain.

Scott Morrison, the Prime Minister of Australia has stressed that there’s no need to panic about this strain. Photo: Korean Passengers in protective gear after Omicron’s announcement
On Monday morning the Health Minister spoke to reporters and stated that he had asked ATAGI for a review of booster times in light international evidence regarding immunity as well as the Omicron variant.
“And as always, we will allow them to be independent and follow their instructions. We are prepared for anything.
When asked by Hunt if the timeline would be cut to just four months following the second dose, he replied that he wouldn’t speculate about any times.
As he prepares for an urgent meeting of the national cabinet on Tuesday, the Prime Minister insisted that there are no reasons to panic about the Omicron strain.
Morrison stated, “Of course, it’s concerning. That is why we are getting all of the information possible.”

Anyone arriving in Austrlaia from South Africa, Lesotho, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Namibia, Eswatini and Malawi now needs to isolate at a health facility for 14 days. After Omicron was declared, passengers in PPE gear were photographed
“We aren’t in the same place we were at the beginning of 2020. 86.7% of the population is vaccinated.
“We already have 13 additional strains of the virus that we have seen. The new strain is not the only one we have encountered. Evidence so far doesn’t suggest that this is an even more severe version of the virus.
“On the issues of transmission and vaccine impact, we have no evidence to date.
Under the new emergency procedures, anyone arriving from South Africa and Lesotho or Botswana, Botswana Mozambique Namibia Eswatini, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Mozambique Mozambique, South Africa, Lesotho or Zimbabwe must be admitted to a medical facility within 14 days.
