The mother of a pregnant newlywed who fell to her death from Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh whilst on her honeymoon has said she is ‘devastated’ and her ‘world has collapsed’.
Fawziyah, 31 years old, was believed to have been on vacation in Scotland, with Kashif Anwar (27), when she fell to her death at the famed cliffside overlooking Glasgow’s capital, around 9pm, September 2.
Pudsey’s trainee solicitor was expecting her first child at the time she died. It was a boy.
Since her death, her husband has been accused of murder.

Her husband Kashif Anwar, 27, has since been charged with murder in relation to her death
Three months after her daughter’s passing, Yasmin Javed, Yasmin’s mother, has spoken out about the hole her child’s death left in her and her family’s lives.
Mrs Javed stated that she has felt like she is stuck in a dream she will never get out of.
However, the family wanted to keep their daughter’s legacy of being a caring, passionate charity volunteer during Christmas. They made several donations in Fawziyah’s name.
Fawziyah was originally from Bradford and worked as a solicitor following her graduation from The University of Sheffield. She also spent a lot of time volunteering for a variety of charities including The In Touch Foundation and Mosaic.
Yasmin, Yasmin’s mother, stated that Yasmin had been crying throughout the day, until her tears were dry. She said, “We are devastated. Our world has fallen apart.”
“She was our sole child and was also pregnant at that time with her first baby.
“To lose a child in any circumstance would be difficult, but losing your first grandchild and only child is the worst. This will not be over.
“The light has vanished from our lives. Now we exist, but there’s no quality in life.
“There’s a huge void in our life and we feel traumatized without her and her family. It has rocked the community.

Her mother Yasmin Javed now, three months later, is speaking out about the empty space her son’s untimely death left on her family’s lives (pictured below and right).

Lyons Davidson Solicitors in Leeds declared Ms Javed dead on the spot of Arthur’s Seat (pictured), an historic volcano in Edinburgh which was popular with hillwalkers after the horror plunge.
The family has made contributions to St George’s Crypt, Edinburgh’s Children’s Hospital and Social Bite in order to continue the legacy of her mother. Anonymously, other family members also gave to charity.
“This week we have made some donations in her honor to charities in Edinburgh and here.
She was compassionate and cared deeply about people.
She was passionate about helping people because it gave her great fulfillment. A selfless, generous person, her heart was always on her sleeves. She was also kind and thoughtful.
“She loved her friends and was always there to help them. She could be reached at all hours of the night or day and was there to listen.

Fawziyah’s family also created a GoFundMe page to solicit donations.
The page reads: “We have created this page in memory of our Beloved Fawziyah, to raise funds to help the homeless, orphans, poor, and needy all over the globe.
Fawziyah felt passionately about the need to help people who are less fortunate, vulnerable or in desperate situations.
“And she was the only child and also pregnant with her first son. Fawziyah was perfect. Fawziyah was a beautiful soul who had done so much for others, and she would continue to do so.
