Boris Johnson’s alleged Pork Pie conspiracy leader, MP says that she took her child and nanny along on a Commons visit to Ukraine

  • Alicia Kearns brought her 11-month old baby and nanny, Alicia Kearns to Ukraine
  • The Russian army is now threatening the nation with an invasion of over 100,000 troops.
  • The fact-finding trip included a visit to the recently shelled Ukraine ‘front line’
  • The baby and the nanny were safe in their hotel room, which is located about 90 minutes from where they had been taken.

Last week, the Tory MP claimed to have been at the core of Boris Johnson’s plotting.

Alicia Kearns was accompanied on the three day foreign affairs committee trip to Russia with her infant daughter, 11-months old.

The fact-finding trip included a visit to the eastern Ukraine ‘front line’ that had apparently been shelled by Russian-backed forces two weeks earlier.

It is believed that the baby’s nanny and her infant stayed in the hotel for about 90 minutes away from the front.

Ms Kearns (34), has previously been a vocal critic of MPs bringing babies to the Commons Chamber.

She said: ‘Babies have no place in the chamber. I’ve asked to leave debates to feed my child a few times – I have never been turned down.’

The Commons took the responsibility for paying the bill, but Ms Kearns who was still breastfeeding her child, accepted the offer to pay the extra cost.

The trip was not the first for an MP to take her baby with her on a Commons Committee trip.

Luciana Berger was the MP for 2019 and took her six month-old son with her on an international health committee business trip.
