The editor-in-chief tied the knot with long-term partner Alec on his 50th birthday on Monday in a lavish ceremony estimated to have cost at least £600,000 – and that’s not including the money-can’t-buy venue provided by his blue-blooded BFF.
Edward and Alec made their vows at the Orangery on Longleat House’s grounds in Wiltshire. This 16-century house was the home of Emma Thynn (Marchioness) and her husband the 8th Marquess.
One expert estimated the flowers alone for this portion of the day could have cost in the region of £250,000.

Chatting: It appeared that they were enjoying one another’s company
It is thought D&G model Emma, 35, gave close friends Enninful and Maxwell use of the historic stately home as a wedding present.
But ordinary couples must pay a minimum of £13,800 for venue hire of the Orangery for their ceremony and a marquee for the reception.
Married! Edward’s wedding band in gold was displayed
Enninful was granted permission to host an evening party for 300 people in his house, whereas mere mortals can only have events held in Longleat’s gardens or grounds.
A-listers including Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Victoria Beckham partied the night away, swigging bottles of Champagne and dining on food by high-end London caterers Cellar Society, whose clients typically have a budget in the region of £20,000 to £100,000. Simon Lycett was the sought-after royal florist.
The celebrations continued with Wednesday’s’morning après lunch’ at The Bath Arms. The Bath Arms is a pub in 17 rooms on Longleat’s estate. It was fully booked so that 80 guests could meet for lunch.
‘I would say a wedding like this would certainly cost around £600,000, if not more,’ Chris Ayre, managing director at AYRE Events told FEMAIL.
Holly Moore, CEO & founder of Make Events, thought it could be double the amount: ‘I would estimate this would be in the region of £1million to 1.5million, because when it comes to dream weddings, they also have the dream price tag.’
Newlyweds! Edward and Alec were seen getting their possessions together before setting off.
The guests were transported in a fleet black BMWs from their hotel to Longleat Estate on 9,000 acres, which is famous for its safari park and lions. Some guests on the invitation list, such as Victoria Beckham, were flown to Longleat Estate by helicopter.
Friends like Marc Jacobs, Poppy Delevingne and Bianca Brandolini made a quick trip to the area. They checked in at Babington House (part of Soho House) before the event.
Rooms at Babington House cost upwards of £400-a-night, with the most expensive accommodation, The Cabin, setting you back £1,180, although it is only open to members.
Designer! Alec had a Burberry jacket under his arm
There was plenty of Soho House card holders present at the wedding. Diane von Furstenberg, an influencer, also bagged rooms.
A taxi driver in the area said, “It was a heck of a bash apparently. I think they went through quite a bit of champagne. The place was packed with black BMWs, Mercedes People Carriers and guests. It is not common for the area to get so busy in February.
FEMAIL received a report from a source saying that champagne was not the only thing served to guests.
Enninful was said to have been a big tequila lover and would want a bottle at each table. Each Clase Azuul ceramic decanter has been handpainted by Mexican artisans. They are set to stand out amongst all the other festivities.
According to the Longleat Safari Park, the service occurred after 5pm.
Jeffry Wyatville built the Orangery for the 2nd Marquess at Bath in early 1800s. It was elegantly decorated with simple, yet beautiful, elements. However, this pared-back luxury does not come cheap as Jess Martin warned, Ginger Ray’s party decorating expert.
She said that the venue had been decorated with gorgeous creamy flowers and an abundance dark green leaves from Simon Lycett (the high-profile florist who has worked for Mary Berry and Buckingham Palace).
The rest of the space was composed of white decorations and clean lines. This gave the place a summery, LA-inspired look in the heart of Bath’s historic home. The all-white background makes it the perfect setting for Vogue weddings.
‘All in all, the simple but showstopping display alone could have cost anything over £250,000 as it certainly didn’t compromise in style and quality.’
