New York woman can recreate classic Christmas film The Holiday. She flew halfway across the globe with an unknown Londoner to change houses and found her Jude Law.

Camille Wyand (25) spotted an Instagram advertisement for a home-swap and was immediately paired with Lizzie Frainier (travel writer and editor, Tooting).

She flew around the globe on December 6 to London, where she settled in for a week with her three roommates.

Lizzie had been preparing for Camille to move into her one-bedroom apartment at the West Village in New York City. But she did not travel to New York City until two days later. This gave the couple a chance bonding before they embarked on their adventures.

The idea came from the 2006 flick The Holiday, which stars Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jack Black, and Jude Law. In it, two women - from England and from Hollywood - swap homes

The Holiday (2006), starring Kate Winslet and Jack Black, was the inspiration for this idea. Two women, one from England and the other from Hollywood, swap houses in this movie.

But things got interesting for both of them after they fell in love with local men in their new locations

After falling in love, however, both fell for local men.

And although Camille didn't hook up with a neighbor or someone's brother, like Kate and Cameron did in the movie, she did have a fling while on holiday

While Camille wasn’t able to hook up with someone she knew, or their brother like Kate did, they did share a holiday fling.

Camille told Jam Press that she and her friend went for pizza and wine the night before to make friends.

We felt as if we’d known one another for years. Our friendship was so strong and we loved to chat with one another. “We became great friends instantly.

After falling in love with the local men, things begin to change for them both.

While Camille wasn’t able to hook up with her neighbor, sister, or brother like Kate did, she had a brief affair while on vacation.

Her home swap was paid for and organized by HomeExchange. She also had a profile set up on dating site. That’s how she met Paddy James, 28, a 28-year old.

Camille was taken by the technology consultant from Clapham to central London. They had a very enjoyable first date.

Camille, who works in strategy consulting, stated that they decided to meet on Thursday.

“It was great fun. We got to get to know one another, heard about his life and friends, shared our stories, and bond over travel.

“We both work as consultants, which was funny, but we talked about common experiences with that. The conversation flowed so smoothly and went way too quickly.

“I met Camille while flying from the U.S. to do a house swap. I was interested in her story so I looked at her profile on Thursday and sent her an email about going out on a date,” Paddy told the outlet.

The date went well, although first dates are sometimes awkward. However, Camille felt comfortable and the experience was very enjoyable.

Camille said, “It was so fun being there, they have an area where you can see The Holiday movie poster and we took some photos under it, even recreated the scene when Jude Law enters and spots Cameron Diaz,”

Camille believes her boyfriend resembles Graham the actor played by Jude.

She said, “I had an incredible time here.” “Paddy sorta reminds me of Jude Law, and he was sweet and very much like that character. He is a wonderful guy.

“I thought that we would go on one date, and that it would make for a humorous story. I wasn’t expecting to hit it off so well with him like we did.’

Unfortunately, long-term love is unlikely because of the distance of 3,460 miles. But all hope is not lost. Camille and Paddy plan to visit each other once again.

Her words continued, “I was so sorry to leave, Paddy was obviously sad, but I also had made many new friends during my time in London and it was so hard to go. It seems that I’ll have to return!

Paddy added: ‘Of course, I would see her again it’s just a shame she is now 3,460-miles away.

“I’ve never been to New York so I would love to visit. It is time to save!
