An alleged gatecrasher was branded a “monster” after hiding inside the home of a woman and then abusing her in revenge for throwing him out at a house party.
Adam Howard was 29 years old and had to be removed from the victim’s home after showing up uninvited. But instead, Howard sneaked into another room where he waited for his guests to go.
Howard watched as the victim aged 21 went upstairs and then attacked her in the toilet. He then attacked the victim in her mother’s bedroom, punched and bit her shoulders when she tried to resist. He ran from the home and was eventually arrested.
Howard was repeatedly rejected by his friend requests via Facebook, according to inquiries. There were 23 other offences against him, including violence towards lone females in their own home.

Howard Oldham, Moorside was invited to the house of the woman to throw a party. He refused to go when asked. The woman was left to her fate. He attacked and hid the woman.
Judge John Potter condemned Howard for his actions, saying that the rapist had treated his victim like a child.
The victim stated that he was subject to rape at his home.
“I was scared that he would do to me what he did.” His actions were unforgivable. Because he violated my body like a beast, I lost something that I can never repay.
“I tried to forget what I had experienced and put it in the background, but every time it comes back it haunts me. While I wish I could be okay, it is hard to believe that I will ever get over the trauma.
Howard was sentenced at Minshull Street Crown Court in Manchester for 12 years. He had been convicted of assault occasioning bodily injury and rape. Under an extended sentence, he will serve at most eight years in prison and be eligible for a license until 2037.
Howard (from Moorside and Oldham) had sent her friend requests through Facebook. She did not reply. Her mother later went on a night out and she invited her friends over to throw a party.
Howard was sentencing. Judge John Potter said to Howard, “You’d gone there at an invite of another just over an hour earlier.” Your victim had not met you before, and she’d received friend requests from you online that she ignored.
Your victim got upset when you showed up at her address. She didn’t even know you, and she also had turned down your requests to be friends with you. You were then asked to leave. However, you pretended that you would.
Judge Potter gave praise to Howard’s victim, stating that she showed’remarkable courage’ for giving evidence against her rapist.
Judge Potter stated that Howard “brutally raped” his victim, and then subjected him to ‘degradation through biting her on her shoulder”.
He stated that the victim was drunk and vulnerable at the time of her ‘planned predatory attack’
Judge Potter complimented the woman, stating that she displayed’remarkable courage in giving evidence’.
A jury heard that the vicious rape had left the victim with severe injuries, including bruises on her shoulders and back. Howard fled the house 56 minutes after arriving, and the victim called the police to report the assault.
Howard turned himself in, and in prepared statements he stated that he and the woman had consensual sexual relations and that he ‘blamed the victim’. Howard was convicted in an October trial. Howard was sentenced to the Sex Offender Register and banned from ever contacting the victim indefinitely by a Restraining Order.
Detective Kate Dawson from Greater Manchester Police reported that the victim suffered not only being sexually assaulted; she also sustained injuries to her face and arms.
Howard’s predatory, wicked and unjust actions are something that she must live with throughout her entire life. Even though justice was served today, it will never be enough to alleviate the suffering he caused.
