On a freezing morning, a pair of naked skiers were captured climbing up the mountain to 4,000ft.
George Robertson, 64, was rambling a remote mountaintop on Cairn Gorm, a peak in the Grampian Mountains in the Highlands of Scotland, hoping to snap wild hares when he captured more than he’d bargained for.
Retired father-of-3 spotted two nude men and a woman on Saturday through his lens as they held onto their skis high up at the peak.
Robertson confirmed his findings through the use of a pair bird-watching binoculars.
It was extremely warm, melting snow, and attracted many walkers.
Robertson was with four more nature photographers. He believes the nudists were easily visible, however he asserts that Robertson and the nudists seemed to not be concerned about being observed.

George Robertson was 64 years old and was exploring a remote mountaintop at Cairn Gom. It is a peak located in the Grampian Mountains, Highlands of Scotland. Robertson wanted to photograph wild hares.

Retired father-of-3 spotted two nude men and a woman on Saturday through his lens as they held onto their skis at the top of the snowcapped peak.

Although it isn’t an offense to be naked while in public in England or Wales, it can become a crime for a complainant to prove that the nudist intended to shock and offend. Scots law does not allow public nakedness. It’s a common offence.
He said that a group consisting of five people was out photographing wildlife and they came across two skiers naked about 100m from the summit.
“It was quite hectic because it was hot. For close to 50 year, I have been walking in the Scottish hills and this is something I have never seen before.
“It was only disbelief at first, because I was staring through the camera at the horizon when I saw two people standing there without clothing on. It was shock and disbelief at first, but then we continued to look for wildlife.
“They clearly could see the other mountain people because they were directly in our line of sight, but they kept going doing their thing and continued to ski off.
I was not offended but thought that it looked odd, especially when it was hundreds of metres higher than the mountain. The images I saw were very funny at the time. They showed people just running around in snow wearing only a bobble hat and skis.
Although it’s not an offense to expose oneself in public, in England and Wales, the act can become a crime when the victim proves that they intended to inflict and shock.
It is a simple offense under the common law in Scotland. The test for this is whether the naked public alarms or disturbs anyone.
