The video was taken in Leon, in the central Mexican state of Guanajuato, on the second day of the city’s International Balloon Festival and no one was injured.

The clip shows the airship flying very close to ground level, but unable to reach the correct altitude to pass a house on its way.

As the balloon rises, the pilot is heard telling passengers inside the basket to keep their hands on the controls. The hot air balloon crashes into the roof then flips over the water tank.

In an official statement the festival organisers said that ‘the activity of ballooning always depends on the weather conditions’.

The hot air balloon crew were also unharmed by the incident.

The airship finally gains the height it needs after knocking the water tank down and can be seen up in the sky

The water tank was finally removed by the airship and the ship can now be seen in the skies.

The competition was also emphasized that safety will always be the priority. Only experienced and qualified balloonists are allowed to participate.

El Universal reports that strong winds caused the airship to drift off course in the morning. This happened on Saturday, November 13.

The festival saw nearly 200 balloons participate, and it began at the Metropolitan Park of Leon.
