A photographer captures the most amazing birds of the planet in this stunning new book.
London-based photographer Tim Flack, an honorary fellow of the Royal Photographic Society, travels the world photographing animals and has turned his attention to our feathered friends for his latest title, Birds, published by Abrams Books.
Flack explained that his intention when he started this project was to investigate the wonder and beauty of birds through a series abstracts and flight portraits.
“Global pandemics have raised our awareness of birds and nature for many people. Their presence has awakened our senses, and lifted our spirits.
“The lockdown forced me to be alone, which has allowed me to reflect upon my photography and draw inspiration from old masters like Rembrandt or Turner.
‘I hope this book will further reveal just how extraordinary they really are, while inspiring empathy and encouraging conservation and support. The importance of connecting people to nature has never been greater.
