Anam Ausaf found herself at the centre of a suspected ‘love triangle’ dispute which resulted in a vicious altercation in a Sherbourne residential building on the Warwick University campus.

North London native, the first-year student was only at university for seven weeks. He then found himself in tears after the battle between 18-year old and 19-year-old men.

The first-year student (pictured), who is from North London, only started at the university seven weeks ago but was left in tears following the fight between the two men, aged 18 and 19

North London native, the first-year student, (pictured), only began at the university seven week ago. However, he was devastated by the altercation between two young men aged 18-19.

Officers rushed on Wednesday to assist the wounded man and students nearby.

Naz Ausaf, a female relative of Anam’s told MailOnline: ‘We are all completely shocked. This is all the boys’ fault. 

“There’s a lot of rubbish on social media that is being spread by students. These people are just talking garbage. There was a brawl between the two boys. It’s very distressing for us, this is not a joke.’

MailOnline reported that Eyewitnesses said the two boys who were vying to her attention got into a fight.

Sherbourne Block student said, “We don’t know all the details.”

“We heard screaming, and blood was everywhere. There are a lot of rumours flying around the campus about what this was all about.’ 

Warwickshire police released the following statement.

“Police called yesterday at 4.32pm (Wednesday 17th November) in response to reports that an individual had been attacked at Scarman Road.

A man and a woman were detained on suspicion of attempted murder after the knifing at a halls of residence

After the stabbing at residence halls, a man and woman were taken into custody on suspicion of attempted Murder.

“Officers arrived and discovered a 19 year-old male with multiple stab wounds. His injuries were not considered life-threatening and he was taken to the hospital.

According to them, a man from Kings Langley in Hertfordshire as well as a woman were both arrested for attempted murder.

Cawail Wong, Detective Inspector at Warwickshire Police CID stated that this was a serious case in which a young male suffered from stab wounds. Anyone with any information on it is asked to call police.

Warwick University stated on their Facebook page that they were aware of an incident at Sherbourne’s accommodation block.

‘Our community safety team is on hand & working with the emergency services. Alternative accommodation & food is being provided to students in the area.’
