It is shocking to learn new details about the tragic death of a 9-year-old girl who was playing on the streets with her sister. She was only yards from her mother when tragedy struck.
Lilia Valutyte was from Lithuania and her family was discovered on a Boston lane at 6.20pm yesterday. Locals were left in shock, while the MP appealed for help to find the killer.
According to some reports, Lilia was with her older sister when the attack occurred. Lina Savicke tried to protect her daughters by using her tablet while Lina worked on it.
Nine-year old died from a single stabbing wound sustained on a narrow, high-street lane. This was just outside the office of Ms Savicke’s recruitment agency. Lincolnshire Police refused to say whether the attack could have been linked to Ms Savicke’s role.
People who witnessed the scene of crime late Thursday evening were shocked to see a broken toy pram belonging to Lilia.
Other sources claimed that Ms. Savicke spent many months at a desk close to the crime scene, and often allowed the children to play outdoors because it was a quiet street.
One source told the Sun: ‘I think they had a hula-hoop and dolly’s pushchair. I’m sure she [Ms Savicke]”Would have been inside”
Heartbreaking pictures of the schoolgirl in happier times that emerged on Friday show the little girl smiling as well as one image in which she is seen wearing wings and celebrating her eighth birthday with a huge balloon.
A local resident claimed that they saw a doll’s pushing chair on the streetside as the emergency service rushed to the spot after the attack.
Residents were in shock and asked for assistance from the national authorities to find the murderer.
A distraught man spoke out for his community, saying that ‘She was only a small girl. How could anyone do such to a nine year-old?”
Police interviewed two suspects in the death of Lilia. The police described the stabbing as an isolated incident.
The Telegraph reports that police are rumored to have been looking through CCTV footage of the area following a runaway man from the site of the stabbing.
Local woman said to the newspaper that the incident occurred while the girl was out playing with her younger sister. The toys were out.
“I am sure that her mom wouldn’t be far from them as she checked on them all the time. It was very difficult to understand that she was such a quiet little girl.
As forensic officers gathered evidence, a small tent was seen near the crime scene in the historic St Botolph’s Church.
The alleyway was surrounded by large objects that appeared to have been covered. It was identified with small yellow signs.

This killing is less than two years following the stabbing death of Roberts Buncis (12), by a teenage in an affrantic attack on the same market. The murder rate in Boston was the highest of any similar town anywhere in England or Wales for 2016.
This latest murder follows an avalanche of stabbings that left three Londoners dead and one seriously injured in London’s capital.
Ava White (12 years) was attacked and killed in Liverpool by an 18-year-old after she had gone to the city to view the Christmas lights.
The father of murdered Roberts showed his support for Lilia’s family as he asked: ‘What is wrong with this world, what is wrong with Boston?’ Edgar Buncis added: ‘I would tell you thousands of words but don’t know what to say. Be strong, love those who you have.’
Among the residents paying their respects at the scene was Arthur Smith, 66, who said: ‘It is just so shocking. When I was growing up, you could never imagine something like this happening.’
Mother of four Fiona Raynor, 49, said: ‘It is just horrendous that a little girl can be stabbed to death in the street in broad daylight.
‘I feel awful for her family. This has broken my heart.’
The UK is in the grip of a knife crime epidemic, with the latest figures for England and Wales showing offences involving knives are up by 10 per cent compared to the previous year.
This weekend saw a wave of stabbings in London that saw three people killed in less than 24 hours and another badly injured.
Horrifically, this is not the first time children have become victims of fatal stabbings in Britain, with 12-year-old Ava White murdered by a teenager in Liverpool last November. He was sentenced to a minimum of 13 years in jail.
Lincolnshire Police Chief Superintendent Kate Anderson said today: ‘Officers were called to the scene of the incident at Fountain Lane, Boston, at around 6.20pm yesterday.
‘A nine-year-old girl sadly died as a result of what we believe to be a stab wound.
‘We have arrested two people in connection with the incident.
‘We believe this to be an isolated incident. We are pursuing extensive lines of enquiry and have committed a number of resources to this investigation. You will see more officers patrolling the area, and we have a high number of specialist detectives who have been brought in to assist the investigation.
‘Her parents are being supported by specially trained officers at this very difficult time, and I can only imagine the grief and pain that they are going through. Their welfare and the welfare of those who she knew is a priority for us.’
Police cordoned off Fountain Lane, a street that backs onto Boston’s Grade II listed old court building The Sessions House.
A forensic tent could also be seen erected in the street while officers combed for clues at the scene which is also in the shadow of historic St Botolph’s Church
Lilia’s body was found outside MS Agricultural Services along a quiet lane next to quaint cobbled streets lined with cafes and coffe shops.
Much of the nearby area is commercial, with car parks, a high street and several boarded-up shops, but the street also runs alongside the end of a residential road.
The local community was in a state of shock as they came to terms with the tragic news late on yesterday evening, with heartbroken residents calling it the ‘most shocking tragedy ever to befall’ the town.
Arthur Smith, 66, who knelt down to say a prayer at the scene said: ‘It is just so shocking. A poor little angel has lost her life. I feel so sorry for her and her parents.
‘Whoever did it should be locked up for life – and I mean life. You couldn’t imagine such a thing when you were growing up.

“It’s just awful that a small girl could be strangled to death on the streets in broad daylight. It is terrible for her family.
Others claimed they saw armed officers in the streets nearby last night when police opened their investigation into the murder of the little girl.
Sara Stringer, 37-year-old mother of two, stated that she witnessed armed officers as well as three police cars flashing blue lights.
“I was shocked to hear that the little girl had been murdered. It is absolutely disgusting.
Jonathan Newton, 55 years old, is a taxi driver. He said, “We are a very close-knit community and this tragedy has shaken the city to the core.”
“She was just nine years old, so how could anybody do that to her?” This is the worst tragedy that has ever happened to our small town. I’m just speechless.’
Unnamed local residents added that they were not certain what had happened. However, it was a quiet street so not many people could have seen it.
“There are CCTV cameras in businesses so I pray that the perpetrator is captured quickly. I feel so sorry for the parents of that little girl.
“I’ve witnessed people in floods today who didn’t know their family.”

A purple bear teddy bear was one of the many tributes that were left at the site. According to police, two persons were taken into custody in relation to the incident.
Lilia was tragically killed on Thursday night. A tribute letter was left. This was Lilia’s last words: “So sorry, this cruel universe has taken your beautiful life. You will be safe in the arms and hands of angels.
Matt Warman, Tory MP for Boston, Skegness and Skegness said that he has been in contact to ensure that national assistance was available to the investigation into the murder.
He stated, “Profoundly alarming news from Boston today,” “I’ve spoken with senior officials locally, and I’m hugely thankful for the efforts of all emergency service personnel.”
While many spoke out in shock at the murder suspect’s proximity to their homes, one woman asked openly if her neighborhood was safe.
One other commenter, who posted on Facebook: “How many children need to die before this town gets serious intervention?”
It is a tragedy that the city of Boston has been the subject of so many diabolical news stories. Why aren’t they doing more for safety? It is tragic.
An additional third was added: “This was a devastating read. Peace, sweetheart. My thoughts are with all your loved ones and my thoughts are also with the officers and residents of Boston.
“How can we rest at night knowing that a 9-year-old child was murdered?” Absolutely terrible.
Edgar Buncis told the story of Roberts’ young brother, who was killed in Boston almost two years ago. He also encouraged them to be strong and tell how their family is going through hell.
Roberts was brutally stabbed over 70 times during a violent attack days before his 13th Birthday. Marcel Grzeszcz (15), was convicted in Roberts’ death and sentenced to a minimum 16 year imprisonment last November.
Today, after this latest tragedy Mr Buncis has pleaded for explanations.
He stated, “Dear Family, You will Go Through the Hell, Be Strong, Take Any Help you Can Get.”
“My son died 12/12/2020 after he was stabbed. I live with it and believe that it will never end. It’s very sad.
‘Where are we going, what is wrong with this world, what is wrong with Boston … I would tell you thousands of words but don’t know what to say … be strong, love those who you have.’

After a nine-year-old girl died of a fatal stab wound, a police officer collected bags of evidence.
Paul Skinner (leader of the Boston Borough Council) said that “The entire town mourns for the tragic and very sad death of a 9-year-old girl from Boston.”
“We cannot imagine what the grief is like for the friends and family of the little girl. Our deepest sympathies go out to them.
“I want to express my gratitude to the emergency services and encourage everyone with information to contact the police at 101.
The ‘Lincolnshire Police have launched a murder probe and the Boston Borough Council works closely with the officers to share CCTV footage.
“I know that many are shocked and concerned by this incident. We, as a council are committed to continuing to work with our partners in making Boston safer for everyone.
The council will fly the flag at half-mast from the Municipal Buildings to show respect for the family of the little girl. Mr Skinner stated.
According to the Home Office, Boston was found to be England’s murder capital in 2016 according figures.
Boston was ranked first on a list that compared the number of murders, attempted murders and conspiracies committed per 100,000 inhabitants.
The September 2015 murder rate was 15 per 100,000. This ranking is among the most high in England, Wales, and comparable to large cities such as London or Birmingham.
It was also home to the highest crime rate in Lincolnshire, at 100 crimes per 1,000 residents in 2021.
