The public has known Chris Noth since the 1998 debut of Sex And The City as the lead male love interest.
It has been a popular TV series that is still being viewed over and over again. There have been two movies — one of them took $419 million at the box office, and in it Noth, as Carrie’s on-off lover Mr Big, abandoned her at the altar.
Two women have come forward to accuse Mr Big of raping them, but only after the reboot.
The first says that it took place 17 years ago, while the second claims it took place seven years later. Both claimed that watching the new series brought back their painful experiences and so they decided to talk about it.
Sex And The City is with us for many decades. My question to these women is, why did it take so long to file their charges?
The actor Chris Noth is the male lead in Sex and The City. He has been the subject of much attention since 1998, when the show that captured millions of single women’s hearts first aired.
These allegations are both shocking and very serious. The women have both given disturbing and graphic accounts, both using pseudonyms.
‘Zoe’ says Noth raped her in 2004, when she was 22, refusing to stop when she pleaded with him. After the attack, she said that she needed stitches. ‘Lily’ says she was 25 when he violently raped her in 2015.
For his part, Roth says both accusations are ‘categorically false’, insisting both encounters were ‘consensual’. He also says: ‘It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out.’
Importantly, the sooner a woman contacts police after being raped, the more likely the perpetrator will be caught and convicted — and, given the pitifully low rape conviction figures, it is vital to do so as quickly as possible.
Zoe Lister Jones claimed that Noth was inappropriate for sexual relations with women in NYC clubs and that he snorted her neck while drunk.

The truth is something I don’t know. Zoe says she’s speaking now because her mother’s recently died and she didn’t want her to be haunted at the end of her life.
It is possible that both the women and the men could have spent years attempting to understand the abuses they were subject to before coming up with their own accusations. You can admire the women’s courage to come out publicly.
They also have to consider the possibility that they could be perceived as #MeToo opportunists who are more concerned with making money from celebrities than seeing justice served.
