Up and down the country, boozy Britons did not shy away from getting in the partying mood as they flocked to pubs to make the most of the four-day weekend.

Earlier in the day, photographs showed eager Britons hosting street parties, erecting metres-long tables and decorating their homes with Union Jack bunting as they pulled out all the stops to mark the occasion.
On Thursday, around 200 people in Little Shelford, Cambridgeshire hosted a tea party at a table measuring 60 m long outside their village hall. Most of them came out to enjoy the celebrations.
After partygoers in Leeds spent the day clearing out streets and parks, they put on huge parties that were fit for Queens.

As they supported the Queen at her Platinum Jubilee, people were seen sporting Union Jack memorabilia.
Manchester’s Canal Street was covered in Union Jacks as well as red, blue, and white bunting. These were attached to trees and hung above bank holiday drinkers.
Nell Gwynn’s Windsor tearoom featured a painting of the Queen in its shopfront window. This was flanked by Platinum Jubilee bunting.
Around 500 people gathered on Middleton Street, Llandrindod in Wales for the Platinum Jubilee Street Party. Participants wore party hats featuring Union Jacks to commemorate the occasion.

After the Trooping the Colour ceremony in London, near Buckingham Palace, was overtaken by the Red Arrows show that flew above the Queen’s residence in the afternoon, London’s St. James’ Park was full of revellers.
At the Seven Dials London market, crowds were dancing to live music. There was a variety of activities, including a flower crown class, royal afternoon teas and burlesque classes.

Today, Her Majesty made one of the two visits to the Buckingham Palace Balcony, where she watched the RAF flypast. This historic display, featuring Spitfires Red Arrow Hawks and a Lancaster Bomber, will see some 71 aircraft take flight over The Mall. Red Arrows displayed Her Majesty’s number 70 in jaw-dropping form.
This show had more than triple the amount of planes that took part in Queen Elizabeth’s 2019 flypast.
