Here’s the moment when a safari guide tried to look closer at an elephant, but it went wrong – the playful animal spritzed her with her swimming pool water.

Lisa Saint was inspired to enter the RockFig Safari Lodge in Hoedspruit South Africa’s Infinity Pool when she saw several elephants standing alongside it.

A curious mammal stayed around and played. She said that she was extremely surprised to see it happen, but was glad to be able to capture the moment on camera.

Lisa was ‘waiting for her response’ when the prankster elephant met her eyes. Lisa held her back from returning the splash in order to not ‘pushing her luck.

Lisa said that she felt lucky to be able to witness such an extraordinary moment, something Clint, her husband, and a safari travel agent, have never witnessed.

This October 15th clip was shared by guests of the lodge. It quickly circulated on social media, earning millions without them even sharing it.

The prankster elephant locked eyes with Lisa 'waiting for her reaction', but she held back the urge to return the splash to avoid 'pushing her luck'

Lisa was ‘waiting for her response’ when the prankster elephant locked eyes. Lisa held her back from returning the splash in order to avoid “pushing her luck”.

Lisa from Winston-Salem in North Carolina said that she had never experienced anything like it before. It was extraordinary.

“I have seen elephants drink from the swimming pool but they usually move away as it’s too uncomfortable.

“The other elephants were gone but this was the little curious straggler that wanted to look me in.

“He was directly looking at me. He was not afraid of me at all. It got drunk and I was not afraid.

He filled the trunk with water. Then it appeared to be cooling itself off. However, it then pointed at my face and began spraying me directly in the eyes.

“I only said thank you, because I believe it was just wanting to play. This was one of those moments when I thought, “I hope somebody is filming this.”

“I believe it was curious to see my reaction. It would’ve scared me if I had backed up faster, but it wasn’t.

“I felt compelled to spend it all and see how it turned out, but I didn’t want it to be too risky.” I am so happy someone caught it all on camera.

Lisa claimed that the elephant was curious and stayed for an additional 40 seconds before returning to his herd. The encounter even shocked the staff at the lodge.

Clint (South Africa), said, “It was truly an extraordinary experience. The fact that Lisa witnessed it made it even more memorable.” This is something that I haven’t seen before.

I thought, “Wow! That really happened!” Just because my wife was at the right spot at the right moment, the cheeky one decided that she would spray it with water.

“She was just enjoying the moment because she has been to many safaris. The situation was very unusual.
