The body of a teenager was discovered near the place where Bobbi Anne McLeod vanished last week, according to police.
As she was making her way through town, the 18-year-old girl was last seen waiting near her Plymouth home on November 20, 2018. The body of the teenager was located eight miles away, in Bovisand.
Devon and Cornwall Police released the following statement: “Formal identification was completed and it has become clear that the body found in Bovisand, November 23, is that of Bobbi Anne McLeod (18 years old).
“Her family were informed about this update. The family has asked that their privacy be protected at all times.
24-year-old Cody Ackland was a musician and has been accused of murder. He was arrested at Truro Crown Court on yesterday, and was placed in custody until a hearing scheduled for January.
Many people rallied at the location where she was last seen in order to offer a candlelit service of condolences. Local residents have laid a bank of candles-filled flowers over the last few days.

Cody James Ackland (24), who lives in central Plymouth and is a member of the popular local band Rakuda with his mother, was accused of kidnapping the 18-year old as she waited for a bus.

As she was making her way through town, the 18-year-old girl was last seen waiting for a bus at Plymouth’s Bus Stop on November 20. Eight miles away, her body was found in Bovisand.
Donna McLeod was the mother of the victim, and was extremely upset during the vigil. However, she was able thank everyone for the support that her family received in the past few days.
She said, “Thank you for everything that was done to find our baby and take her home,”
Ackland, in prison-issue yellow-green jumpsuit and a short, brief hearing yesterday at Truro Crown Court, only spoke to confirm his name.
Ackland of Plymouth was not granted bail, and he was ordered to be remanded for the Plymouth Crown Court pre-trial hearing.
Judge Robert Linford issued an advisory to the public to stop speculation. It is extremely hurtful for the families and other people involved in this case.
“I request that everyone allow justice and not post or publish material concerning the case, which may be based on evidence revealed by court.

Ackland was covered up in a blanket when he appeared before Plymouth Magistrates Court. He was being guided by officers.
“To do otherwise could obstruct justice or cause harm to the family.
“A similar request made by the police was considerably ignored, and it shouldn’t have been.”
Bobbi-Anne lived in a three-bedroom terrace house on a 1970s housing estate in the Leigham area of Plymouth, which is made up of a mix of council and private homes.
Her education included Leigham Primary School, Tor Bridge High School, and she was believed not to have been working when her death occurred.
