An online attack has been made against a mother-of-11 who admitted that she didn’t make any effort to prepare her children’s meals due to being too tired and cranky. She gave them cereal, mac and cheese and ramen noodles.
Veronica Merritt (36), is under fire from her fans after she said she didn’t want to work and make her 11 kids’ breakfasts, lunches, and dinners because she was ‘having an unproductive day’.
This mom is originally from New York and shares information about her family. She also gives an insider’s view on how it feels to have 11 children on TikTok.
She began to get backlash when she spoke out about the hard realities of caring for so many children while simultaneously expecting another.

Veronica Merritt (36), is under fire from her fans after she said she didn’t want to do any hard work making the meals for her children because she was ‘having an off day’.
New York-born mom fed her children cereal, noodles with ramen, mac and cheese, for lunch and dinner.
Veronica gives an in-depth look at raising 11 children on TikTok, often under @ThisMadMama. She has more than 100,000 subscribers on the platform.
In a viral video she said that “Today I didn’t make much effort to cook for my 11 children,” while also showing the Fruit Loop cereal being eaten by some of her children.
It was sugar, salt, junk and all that, but I feel tired, pregnant, and cranky. Don’t be mean to me. Let’s just say that the children ate.
Throughout the clip, viewers also saw some of them eating ramen noodles, and others eating macaroni and cheese.
She captioned her post, “Honestly, I don’t know if I want to continue sharing what we eat because people will bully us no matter what I do,”
Chicken-flavored instant Ramen noodles have 188 calories and seven grams total fat. One portion also contains 891mg sodium.
Fruit Loops cereal is 150 calories per serving, has one-half gram of total fat and 210 mgs of sodium.
Kraft mac and cheddar has 376 calories, 16 g total fat and 669 mg of sodium per serving. But it’s not known which brand she used to feed her kids.
Many people quickly filled the comments section with their opinions. Some sent support to the mother-of-11 and others criticized her.
One respondent said, “Then don’t have 11 children.”
Another comment stated that “Atleast the children ate”, a girl said.
A third said, “It is a mystery why so many people have children while they can’t care for them all.” They’re not toys.
One other person stated, “I have 10 brothers and sisters. Having so many children leads to a lack of care.”
Another TikTok user said, “I grew up in a family with one mom and many siblings.” “Even though you try your hardest, they still suffer. Their parents won’t give them enough money to pay for college or spend quality time with their mother.
One commenter said, “Irresponsible would not be an understatement about you,”
Many people quickly filled the comments section with their opinions. While some expressed support for the mother-of-11 and offered to defend her, others bashed her.
Veronica attempted to protect herself from her critics, insisting her children aren’t being left behind because she lavishes them with high-end items like computers and cell phones.
One of Veronica’s defenders stated that he had survived by eating mac-and cheese and ramen as a child. It doesn’t matter how much you love and take care of your baby, as long as they are happy. [matters]’
This isn’t the first time Veronica has been criticised for choosing poor food choices. She shared last week a video of her cooking dinner. People thought it looked like prison food.

She replied, “I don’t believe they need cell phones,” to someone who stated that she only gives her children what they want.
One of Veronica’s defenders commented in the comments section, “I survived on mac and cheese and ramen growing-up,” “As long your children are loved and taken care of, that’s all that matters.” [matters].’
One more: “No mother guilt.” It was you who fed them and cared for them. I am sure that they were happy. Some days can be more difficult than others.
This isn’t the first time Veronica has faced criticism for food choices.
She shared another video last week of her preparing dinner for her children, prompting people to criticize her.
‘For tonight’s dinner I decided to go with just a simple, meatless pasta with some sauce and some frozen veggies and some garlic bread,’ she said in the video, which showed her boiling pasta and cooking the veggies.
Veronica stated that she got pregnant at 14 when she was already married to her first husband.

Veronica stated that she had previously shared with The Sun her story of becoming pregnant at 14 years.
In 1999, Victoria, her first child, was born. She and her husband, Andrew, welcomed their first son, Andrew, five years later.
TikToker stated that she is often made to feel like her children are all related by comments.
Marty, 37 year old, became her second husband and together they had seven children.
Adam, Mara, 13 years old, Darla, 10 and Marvelous, 8 are now their parents.
Veronica says she cannot use birth control due to kidney disease. It makes her very sick.

Veronica claims that she is unable to use birth control as she has kidney disease.
They live in a 9-bedroom home they purchased for $20,000 and Veronica takes her children around the school bus.
She stated that she had kidney disease, and had lost her kidneys last year.
“Some of my children were intended, but hormonal birth control is not available to me because I have a blood disorder that can lead to blood clots.
Mom revealed that she used a color-coding system. This means that each child is given a particular color and that she purchases their clothing and toys with that color. They can then identify who the color belongs to.
“The color-coding system can be integrated into almost all things,” she said.
It’s almost obsessive to buy anything in their colors – sheets, towels (bristles), toothbrushes and cups as well as their clothing. This obsession is almost overwhelming.
Their family lives in a home with nine bedrooms that was built in the 1980s. Veronica also drives their children in a school bus.
