According to Sunday Times, royal courtiers plan to remove Prince Andrew from his title as Duke of York if Virginia Giuffre wins the suit.

The Royal household is also rumored to be considering other options, such as sending the Duke to an ‘internal Exile’ or asking him to give up any charity links.

Ms Giuffre claims Prince Andrew sexually assaulted three of her 17-year-old daughters. The Duke denies the allegations and is currently suing for unspecified damages.  After the Newsnight disaster, which he hoped would bring his name to light, the Duke of Edinburgh resigned from his public duties in November 2019.

According to a source, “If…” [Prince Andrew]The case is lost. Now the problem is, what should you do? While you cannot force him into resignation like a normal individual, he will be requested to abeyance from his dukedom.

According to royal insiders, it was difficult for the Queen to take away the title of Duke or York because it had been held by George VI before he became King and it was bestowed on her favorite son. The Sunday Times reports that he had renounced the title.

Buckingham Palace spokesmen said that the claims against the Duke of Edinburgh could lead to him losing his title. The Duke of Edinburgh is currently a legal issue that we cannot comment on.

According to defense sources, the Duke may be being pressured to end his military positions. The Sunday People reports that military leaders hope he will quit so the Queen does not have to remove his honorary titles.

Senior Army commanders feel it’s not possible for Andrew to continue his position as colonel in chief of the nine military units, regiments and corps, due to the Duke’s friendship with Epstein, Maxwell and Maxwell.

Royal courtiers are said to be discussing plans to strip Prince Andrew of his Duke of York title if he loses the lawsuit brought by sex abuse accuser Virginia Giuffre. Other ideas allegedly being considered by the Royal household include sending the Duke into some form of 'internal exile' and asking him to relinquish any links he still has to charities. And in a further blow, the Duke is said to be under pressure to give up his nine military roles, according to defence sources

The decision to remove the military titles would need come from the Queen and Buckingham Palace officials but defence sources said 'there would be no objection from the armed forces'. (Above, members of the Royal Family in 2019)

The news comes after senior military chiefs privately labelled Andrew as ‘toxic’ – with a source saying: ‘Even if Andrew is completely exonerated from any wrongdoing he is now regarded as toxic. He is likely to do the right thing and resign.

Officials at Buckingham Palace and the Queen would have to make the decision, but sources in defence told Sunday People that the military would not object.

The revelations come as Prince Andrew’s family put on a united front as they were spotted for the first time since the conviction of the Duke’s close friend Ghislaine Maxwell for sex trafficking.

As they walked in Verbier, the Duchess of York joined hands with their daughters Beatrice and Eugenie as well as Jack Brooksbank and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, their husbands.

Despite the scandalous Duke of York’s connection to Virginia Giuffre (sex trafficking victim), the five seemed in good spirits.

Duke is “likely to avoid the fallout from the perjury case”

Legal experts believe that Prince Andrew will avoid any perjury cases against GhislaineMaxwell.

Maxwell (60) is now facing 65 years imprisonment after jurors at a Manhattan court declared that she was a child predator.

Five counts of sexual abuse were brought against her by Jeffrey Epstein, who found her guilty.

Maxwell faces perjury charges. They relate to the testimony Maxwell gave in 2016 during a Virginia Giuffre defamation proceeding.

Ms Giuffre was likely to be a major role in Maxwell’s trial on perjury charges. It could have led to Ms Giuffre’s allegations against Prince Andrew being heard openly.

Legal experts believe it is unlikely that the perjury accusations will result in a new trial. With Maxwell convicted on the abuse-and trafficking charges, it is possible that they will be allowed to remain in their files.

Bradley Simon is a former New York federal prosecutor. He told The Telegraph that they may not continue with perjury. It is always important to conserve judicial resources.

According to some reports, the New Yorks hosted a New Year’s Eve party with their friends from Switzerland.

It is believed that the entire family traveled to Switzerland for Boxing Day, while Prince Andrew remained at Windsor’s Royal Lodge.

When approached by reporters, the Duchess did not respond to questions about recent events. According to the 62-year old, “We are on family vacation.”

It is reported that the Duchess of Cambridge was happy to be with her grandchildren, Eugenie’s son August and Beatrice’s daughter Sienna. Both are on vacation.

After Maxwell was found guilty of sex trafficking Wednesday evening, the Duke of York may have had crisis meetings with his legal staff.

Meanwhile, Virginia Giuffre – the woman who claims she was forced to sleep with Prince Andrew when she was 17 – could be set to give a victim impact statement to a New York judge for the sentencing of Ghislaine Maxwell.

This week, the British socialite was convicted on multiple charges of child sex traficking in connection to Jeffrey Epstein’s billionaire boyfriend.

According to the Telegraph, although many accusers didn’t give evidence, Judge Alison Nathan will allow the women to speak to him.

One of them is said to be Ms Giuffre – known before her marriage as Virginia Roberts – who alleges having sex with Andrew three times in 2001, at a time when she was a teenager and under the control of Epstein.

The claims have been denied by the Prince.

Victim impact statements, which are witness testimony that outlines the effect of an offense’s actions on victims, can be presented to the court.

Although guidelines and reports serve the primary purpose of determining sentence length, judges should consider victim impact statements.

Sigrid McCawley, who represents Ms Giuffre, told the paper: ‘At the sentencing, I anticipate that there will be a lot of testimony from many, many other women who were not able to be heard at the trial, who will come forward and bring information about their suffering at the hands of Ghislaine Maxwell.

“I think this will be taken into consideration by the court before Judge Nathan makes her final decision about the time Ghislaine will spend behind bars.”

Andrew says he doesn’t have proof of the infamous assertion that he cannot sweat.

Prince Andrew suffered a setback in his US sex case, after admitting he has no proof over his infamous claim he cannot sweat and also seeing the judge throw out an attempt to stall the case.

The prince is currently being sued for damages by his accuser in New York. They have asked him to hand over any evidence that he doesn’t perspire. He said this in an interview with Newsnight about a car accident two years ago, when he denied her claims.

His legal team however stated that he did not possess any documents, custody or control to support the claim.

It comes amid claims that Buckingham Palace ‘sleepwalked’ into the Prince Andrew crisis and has been paralysed with indecision over to how to handle things.

According to senior royal insiders, the duke was ‘impunious’ because he was a member the Royal Family’s Royal Family. Staff were too scared to challenge him.

The idea that he might still make it to the public eye, even with the controversy over his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein’s paedophile Jeffrey Epstein must be rejected.

Andrew had suffered two setbacks during his US sex trial. He admitted that he doesn’t have any proof of his famous claim that he can sweat, and he also saw the judge reject an attempt to stop the case.

His legal team however stated that he did not possess any documents, custody or control to support the claim.

Additionally, the Duke stated that he could not provide witnesses to back up his claim that Miss Giuffre was with him at Pizza Express in Woking.

Andrew requested that Andrew not delay the case because Miss Giuffre, who he said cannot sue in America due to her Australian citizenship, was denied.

Yesterday’s public sighting was his first since his British friend Ghislaine Maxwell was sentenced to multiple child sex crimes for Epstein.

He also said to Emily Maitlis in his Newsnight interview that the date Miss Giuffre claimed they had in London was actually at a Pizza Express. This has also been confirmed by him.

Miss Roberts is now Giuffre and claims that she had sex with Andrew three times in 2001. This was at the time she was 17, when Epstein controlled her.

Maxwell’s accusations were denied by the prince. However, Maxwell’s conviction has put more pressure on the prince.

A senior royal advisor spoke on condition anonymity to say that although no one outside the Prince’s personal office knew the extent of his friendship with Maxwell and Epstein, it was an ongoing issue for the Royal household.

Andrew is not supported by witnesses, according to lawyers.

After revealing that he couldn’t also provide any witnesses, the Prince was again unable to support his claim that he had been at Pizza Express in Woking on night when it was alleged that he slept with Miss Giuffre.

It couldn’t have happened, he said because he was spending the day with his child. He stated that he was at the party with his children.

If asked about his memory of a Pizza Express meal 18 years ago, he replied that it was because going to Pizza Express in Woking was an uncommon thing to do and a very unique thing to do. It’s been a few times since I was there, but I still remember the experience quite clearly.

“As soon as someone reminded me about it, I said, “Oh yes, that is what I remembered.”

‘Anyone who even dared to offer their professional advice that maybe his way wasn’t the right one was met with a decisive ‘f*** off out of my office’,’ the source said.

Other former royal staff back up the account, claiming that the prince behaved as though he didn’t need to answer anyone and allowed himself to “go rogue”.

Andrew’s role in roving trade “ambassador” was particularly problematic, according to some reports. This saw him being repeatedly criticised for cozying up with highly controversial businessmen and world leaders.

An ex-member of Buckingham Palace’s staff recalled the ‘impossible task’ it took to convince either the prince or his advisors to follow any instructions. “The duke stated that he only answered to Queen Elizabeth,” they added.

“He won’t listen to advice from anybody.” [He]His actions were completely unassisted and the staff couldn’t stand up against him, even though they were a part of the Royal Family. His Majesty supported him almost every time, and he took full advantage of that.

“There is an element of Buckingham Palace sleepingwalking into Andrew’s whole crisis. Andrew would lie to his family and say that the whole thing was false, and would soon disappear.

Andrew was relieved of his duties in the wake of Newsnight’s interview.

Andrew will again try to have Miss Giuffre’s matter thrown out on Tuesday.

Yesterday’s court papers show that her legal team stated they will test her Newsnight alibi. He contested her claims that he sweated while dancing in London’s nightclubs.

His lawyers want him to show proof of his “alleged medical condition, anhidrosis”.

The police could request that his bodyguards from the past testify as to the whereabouts and activities of the duke during the time Miss Giuffre said they were having sex. Last night, Buckingham Palace refused to comment.

Q&A

Andrew is being accused of what?

These formal accusations are battery and intentional injury to emotional distress. Virginia Roberts, who is bringing the New York case as her married name Giuffre, alleges that she was forced to have sexual relations with Prince Andrew at 17 years old. She was also a sex slave to Jeffrey Epstein’s friend and paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. It is not a criminal case like the GhislaineMaxwell Manhattan trial. Miss Roberts is seeking damages that could amount to millions of pounds. Andrew can’t be imprisoned.

Are we where are?

Although the case was started in August, it is still being worked on. A new Andrew motion to dismiss the case will be heard by the judge on Tuesday. If it continues there will be the taking of depositions – formal statement given under oath.

Who can be deposed

David Boies is Miss Roberts’ lawyer and he has indicated that he intends to seek deposal of the duke, possibly with Sarah Ferguson as his ex-wife. Andrew and his associates will face Andrew, as well as her lawyers.

Then what?

The tentative trial date has been set by Judge Lewis Kaplan for September. A jury of twelve members of the public will decide the case.

Will Andrew testify?

Although he can decline to take a deposition, it may result in him being convicted of default. He can either decline to testify in person or “take the fifth”, refusing to answer any questions to protect himself.

Which evidence is being heard?

Miss Roberts will give her story and she’ll bring along witnesses to back it up. She is expected to use Epstein’s flight logs to show where she was flown. Maxwell could be questioned by Roberts, and Carolyn may testify that she pulled her into Epstein’s orbit.

How about the FBI trying to talk to Andrew?

It is not part of this case. Andrew has been a potential witness in the FBI’s investigation of Epstein’s global sex rings for at least two years. An application for Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty protection to the Home Office is still pending and hasn’t been processed.
