Six months after serving time in jail for an alleged sex attack on a Glamis Castle woman, he was released from prison.
The scandal of Simon Bowes Lyon, Earl of Strathmore was not forgotten. He was accepted into high society at the wedding of his younger brother Jock.
The 35 year-old cousin of Queen Elizabeth was seen this week for the first-time since his release at the St Mary The Boltons Church in South Kensington.
He smiled in his morning gown as he took photos outside of the church with the groom.

A witness said that everyone seemed to be greeting him. While some did make fist bumps due to Covid, they were all friendly with him. It seemed almost like nothing had occurred.

Tassilo von Bismarck was the best man. He is the younger brother to Count Nikolai von Bismarck and was the toyboy lover of Kate Moss. Nikolai was also there.
The designer Jade Jagger and Ella Richards were also guests of honour, one of Sir Mick’s children, as well as Keith Richards’ granddaughter, Ella Richards.
Simon Bowes Lyon is known by his nickname Sam. He is the great-great-nephew and second cousin of Queen Elizabeth II.

He was sentenced to jail for the sexual assault of a 26 year-old girl at Glamis Castle, his ancestral home.
After convincing her to open the door, he pushed her onto a mattress and began a 20-minute drink-fueled attack. The woman was left with nightmares after his ‘force, aggression, and persistence’. A court heard that she needed therapy.
He pleaded guilty for the February 2020 sexual assault at his estate on 16,500 acres in Forfar, Angus.

Dundee Sheriff Court sent him back to jail for ten month. He also had his name added on to the register for sex offenders, which he was kept in for ten more years.
Although he had apologized publicly to the victim before, Sheriff Alistair Carmichael informed him that there were no other options than custody.
According to reports, the Aristocrat has been freed from prison after having served half of his sentence. The friend who was not named said: “As far and as possible, he wants to continue with his life.”
