An actress from ‘Real Housewives of Jersey’ has been suspended driving privileges and given a heavy fine for hitting a wall with her vehicle.
Catherine ‘Kate’ Taylor, 53, who appears on the hit ITV reality show, was fined £1,500 and disqualified from driving for 15 months after the Mercedes she was driving hit the boundary of a home on the Channel Island in October.
Ms Taylor was believed to be responsible for causing ‘thousands’ of pounds of damage to the properties.
An immediate blood test revealed that she was over the legal limit. Her breathalyser showed she had 111mg alcohol in 100ml.

Jersey Magistrates Court was told Ms Taylor committed the offence in October, when she hit the wall of a home near St Clement’s Parish Hall on Grande Route de la Côte.
Peter Harris, assistant magistratrate, warned Taylor that she could spend six weeks behind bars if Taylor didn’t pay her fine.
Jersey’s police launched its annual anti-drink-driving campaign recently, with a greater number of road checks being carried out in the past few weeks.
Since the beginning of the month, hundreds of cars have been stopped.

Taylor was born in Cleethorpes near Grimsby (Lincolnshire) and moved to Jersey about 30 years later.
Kate shared her experience on the journey to the island by saying that she was brought here with an ex-boyfriend and they just settled down in paradise.
She became widely known for her gregarious character and extravagant outfits following the launch of ITV’s Real Housewives of Jersey show.
On the ITV website, she describes herself as a ‘happy go lucky girl’ who ‘loves to party’, as well as being a fundraiser for a number of charities.
Filming for the show’s second series began in April. The original broadcast date was set for late April, but the exact time has not been determined.
