According to the Montecito  Journal, brightly-lit cars decorated with garlands, tinsel and wreath made their way down the parade route, watched by locals as Santa Claus handed out candy from a truck complete with Christmas star.

The local paper wrote: ‘ As the merriment still lingers in the air, here’s to a new Montecito holiday tradition!

“Thank you to all the parade sponsors such as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for being first to donate.”

This week Meghan was seen Christmas shopping in Montecito at some of her favorite stores, including nearby Pierre LaFond & Co and kids’ clothing boutique Poppy.

This stylish mother-of-2 looked great in Massimo Dutti wool jacket, Tamara Mellon boots and Bottega Veneta clutch. She also wore LeSpecs Air Heart sunglasses.

According to reports, Meghan spent about an hour out with her bodyguard and then returned home carrying several shopping bags.

One witness said that she felt frantic while shopping. It was almost as if she wanted to be normal. Even if she was there for only an hour.

The sighting comes after Meghan’s make-up artist pal Daniel Martin revealed Harry and Meghan are loving family life with Archie and Lilibet.

The Duchess spoke in an interview with People magazine. Her close friend said they had found a rhythm that was like a foursome.

Daniel, who got to know the two as they prepared for the Intrepid Museum gala, said it was ‘a lot of fun’ seeing them together again and that it felt like the gang was back together.

Daniel commented, “Harry makes a lot of jokes about Meghan and it’s really funny. That was a great way to get those belly laughs back!

“They love living as a family with four children. They’re a happy foursome.

Daniel was seen previously doing Meghan’s makeup. He described the recent reunion as “so much fun” and “like the gang were back together.”

When asked about the challenges they face in juggling their families and work, he said: “It’s all about getting that work-life balance right now. It’s something they’re already experiencing.

Daniel shared that the couple couldn’t be more excited to go ‘back home” to California with their kids during the New York visit. This was also why Meghan had been lobbying for paid parental leave for mothers who work.

“It’s all about finding the right work-life balance, and Meghan is lobbying for paid parental leave. They are already experiencing it. He said that they know how it effects everyone within the family.

A second source described them as being ‘inseparable.

According to sources, senior royals across the Pond have agreed not to plan any festive celebrations until the queen’s Sandringham Christmas, and have canceled their plans to join the monarch.

According to The Mirror, the Duke and Duchess, Prince Charles, Camilla, Prince Charles, Prince Edward, Princess Anne and Sophie, have all agreed to limit their contact with each other in advance of the big day.

They made the decision after Queen 95 cancelled next Tuesday’s Royal Family Christmas dinner ‘with regret’ in order to spare her beloved ones’ plans.

Her Majesty planned to host 50 of her relatives next week at Windsor Castle, which includes Prince Charles, Camilla and other royals. The decision was taken to cancel the event because it would have put too many people at risk.

It is MailOnline’s understanding that there are no immediate plans for staff to form a Covid bubble with the Queen as they did last year, because the situation is constantly changing.

Insiders suggest that the monarch may stay at Windsor during the Christmas season rather than moving to Sandringham, as she has an established secure setup.
