Richard Madeley is reported to be too ill to attend Monday’s Good Morning Britain show with his Good Morning Britain stars, following his exit from I’m A Celebrity.
After falling ill early Thursday morning, the 65-year-old GMB host left the Welsh camp. He was then rushed to the local hospital. This led to him breaking the Covid bubble he had formed with fellow campers.
And discussing Richard’s experience on Friday show, his fellow GMB star Richard Arnold also spoke of the host’s whopping £200,000 fee, admitting he’s ‘not sure he’ll forfeit his fee yet’.

Poorly: Richard Madeley is reportedly ‘too ill’ to join his Good Morning Britain co-stars on Monday’s show following his early exit from I’m A Celebrity
During the show, presenter Ben Shephard was joined by Richard Arnold, Nick Hewer and Ruthie Henshall, where they discussed the ITV show and Richard’s unfortunate exit.
Ben said that Show Bosses aren’t sure if Ben would feel well enough for them to invite him to the show. He added: ‘Apparently, we’ll talk to him Monday.
“Maybe we won’t. We’re hearing he’s too ill. We’re going to talk with Richard Monday.
Ben shared his view on Richard’s decision to leave camp. It’s such a shame because Richard was the person who was trying to persuade the others not to leave and all of a sudden, he’s gone.

Is there money? Discussing Richard’s experience on Friday show, his fellow GMB star Richard Arnold also spoke of the host’s whopping £200,000 fee, admitting he’s ‘not sure he’ll forfeit his fee yet’

Early exit: The GMB presenter, 65, left the Welsh camp after falling ill in the early hours of Thursday morning, prompting an emergency dash to a local hospital
‘It sounds like it was a bit of a Covid-19 protocol issue, he broke the bubble to go to hospital and then couldn’t go back in.
‘I feel like someone’s made a bit of a mistake there. It’s such a shame though because he’s already been such an integral part of the show.’
Richard (who was being treated at Glan Clwyd Hospital, Rhyl) issued a statement reassuring fans that he’s fine after his health scare but confirming that he had to stop the series due to breaking the Covid bubble.
Meanwhile, Richard Arnold said the star’s exit was a ‘devastating loss’ for the show, and also added that he was unsure whether Richard’s ‘tasty’ £200k feel would be forfeited now he’s out.

Worries: Ben Shephard admitted that show bosses are unsure whether Richard would be well enough to join them, stating: ‘Apparently we’ll be talking to him on Monday. Perhaps we won’t. We’re hearing he’s too ill. OK, we will talk to Richard next Monday.

Having his say: Ben said: ‘I feel like someone’s made a bit of a mistake there. It’s such a shame though because he’s already been such an integral part of the show’
He stated that he believed it to be a tragic loss for the show. Additionally, he had been approached by the show for many years and said that it was something he wanted desperately.
“And then four more days and we are told quite a wedge as well. Whether or not he forfeits the fee, I am not across that, but it’s quite tasty money!”
As the Good Morning Britain star’s departure from the 2021 series was due to medical reasons and not from quitting of his own accord, it is thought he will get his full salary – which is believed to be an eye-watering £200,000 – after just four days in the jungle.
Richard said that the situation was also exemplary with Adam Woodyatt and Simon Gregson signing, however Dickie was a very prominent signing.
‘The duty of care would be paramount with Richard set, and there are an on-site medical team at any time as well. But it was felt, perhaps, that it was escalated in order to take Richard to hospital for some reason. Richard without doubt would protest.

Money talks: ‘And four days, and we’re told quite a big wedge as well, whether or not he’ll forfeit the fee or not, I’m not across that but it’s quite a tasty sum of money!’
In a major blow to the show as one of their top signings, the broadcaster, who was paid an estimated £200,000 to star in this year’s competition, was taken ill hours after participating in a gruelling trial and complaining about the castle’s freezing temperatures.
He addressed his fans with the following statement: “Hello everybody! Richard here – firstly just to say that I’m absolutely FINE. As a precaution, I was admitted to the hospital because I felt unwell during the early hours of the morning.
The Covid bubble was broken when I left the camp. I now have to leave the castle, and all of the incredible celebs in the camp.
“Obviously, it’s hard to say goodbye so fast but my number one priority is safety and well-being of the campmates. I’m incredibly excited to watch their journey continue…even more so at the prospect of being somewhere a little warmer than Gwrych Castle…
‘Thank you to everyone who supported me on my brief but completely unforgettable adventure – I’ve made some great friends and honestly had the time of my life.’

A spokesperson for I’m A Celebrity said that Richard had to be removed from the show due to strict Covid protocol. He is not in the bubble celebrities create when they enter the castle.
“He’s been an amazing camp mate. We thank him for participating in this series.
MailOnline was also informed by a source that Richard is distraught. Although he was trying his hardest and accepting every aspect of camp life, this wasn’t how he imagined his I’m A Celeb journey to the end.
Richard returning to camp could pose too great a danger to other contestants. They have created a bubble in order to prevent a Covid-19 epidemic on set.
‘Everyone on the show will miss him – he’s been a huge part of camp and it’s so disappointing he won’t be able to return.’
Although it was believed that DJ Locksmith was enlisted to standby as a contestant, no one has been confirmed.
Chloe Richard’s 34-year-old daughter, Chloe, said that her father was ‘livid’ that he cannot go back to the I’m A Celebrity Camp after his shock hospital run.
She said, “Thanks for your kind messages dad, it’s fine. We’ve spoken to him throughout the day, and he is just mad that he cannot go back in camp due to Covid restrictions.”

Meanwhile, I’m A Celebrity bosses are reportedly fearing they may lose more of the show’s stars following Richard Madeley’s departure on Thursday.
After three celebrities, Arlene Phillips and Naughty boy sought immediate medical treatment, it is believed that the show was plunged into chaos.
The Strictly judge (78) is currently being treated for chronic pain. The 36-year-old music producer is experiencing mental difficulties. The 32 year old singer from Saturdays has developed an itchy rash which doctors are trying to determine.
These reports are coming after Richard, perhaps the biggest show signing, had to leave I’m A Celeb. He was admitted to hospital, and was not able to return to the castle once he was treated.

In chaos? According to reports, three stars of the show were in urgent need of medical treatment and they were forced to cancel their series.
The Sun reported that Arlene is taking painkillers to treat ‘chronic pain’. Naughty Boy, on the other hand, is experiencing mental difficulties due to his absence from his Alzheimer’s-stricken mother.
Frankie has been reported to have suffered from a skin condition and required medical attention.
A source said: ‘There are growing concerns for Arlene who is really struggling and in chronic pain, she is being helped around by the likes of David Ginola and Naughty Boy and is looking really frail.
“It is hard enough to rough it in the ruins a castle, let alone with 78-years old. She’s a strong woman who wants to prove everyone just how tough she can be.
The insider said Naughty Boy, real name Shahid Khan, is having counselling over his mother’s health.
The show’s psych staff, headed by Sandra Scott said that he had been talking to them on an iPad specially designed to keep him upbeat.
“This is his longest separation from his mother since the diagnosis. His parents are determined to see that he does not go silent.”
Producers are also worried about Frankie who reportedly received an ointment for a rash, with doctors not sure what caused it.
The source said ITV simply ‘can’t afford to loose any names- especially after Richard left the camp just four days after the show started.
MailOnline reached out to ITV in order for them to comment.
Naughty Boy and Arlene both once expressed their desire that they leave Gwyrch Castle, after having been in the breakout camp, The Clink.
Following the Treacherous Traps trial the music producer made it clear that he wanted to leave.
