Staff at a Marks & Spencer store in Romford have revealed that starstruck customers ask for their pictures and autographs as their new festive song battles for Christmas number one.
With their comedy videos and cover of popular songs, the east London trio became social media celebrities. They have 1.5M likes and 88.5K followers.
The festive song, This is Not Only A Christmas Song has been a viral success with almost 500,000 views. It’s up there against A-list performers for the #1 spot in this year’s chart.
Although the group reached 12th place on iTunes’ charts, the song was not yet on the Apple chart. Most-watched Songs in Britain
Jack, a supermarket worker said today that their customers enjoy the taste of celebrity and that he is confident their Christmas tune will be number one.

The group, who go by Team Romford, began their TikTok account from the Marks & Spencer in London’s Liberty Shopping Centre in January this year.
They shot to fame with hilarious videos of staff members recreating trends from the app’s viral sounds as well as creating funny clips using the store’s beloved mascot Percy Pig.
Jack said, “We continued to go viral. We went viral several times on TikTok. And decided that we would make the song and see if we can come up with something,”
This east London team became unlikely social media superstars, boasting 1.5M followers and 58.8K likes. They also have comedy clips, dancing videos and covers of pop music. The video features staff members during their holiday song.

‘We kept getting comments on our TikTok saying M&S crew for Christmas number one so I decided to go home and make it one evening and that’s how it started.
“I wrote it all myself, I just came home.” The song was born out of a conversation about Christmas ideas.
Jack believes they are able to overcome the opposition of Ed Sheeran, Elton John, and ABBA for Christmas number 1.
‘I mean it’s going to be hard to knock them off but I’m quite confident to be honest, I’m quite confident we can do it’, he said.
Profits from the song will go to homeless charity Shelter and children’s charity Together4ShortLives and is available to stream or download on iTunes, Apple Music and Spotify.
