Postal services are set to be massively disrupted even more this month after Royal Mail workers voted to stage a further 48-hour strike later this month.
According to the Communication Workers Union, around 115,000 Royal Mail workers will be on strike from September 30th over a dispute regarding pay and conditions.
Following a similar strike last month in which postal workers were involved in a major strike, they are expected to go into industrial action this Thursday and Friday.
The Communication Workers Union, CWU stated on Twitter that they had called for two more days of strike action on September 30th and October 1st over the attacks on terms.

Communication Workers Union refused to allow this week’s strikes to be called off.
Royal Mail, which has said its business is losing £1million a day, said on Wednesday strike action had weakened its financial position. According to it, the CWU refused to stop this week’s strikes.
According to CWU, the CWU’s approach “is setting us up on a perilous track,” it stated in a statement.
“We will continue to be open to talks with the CWU, in an effort to prevent industrial violence. However, any discussions must address both changes and wages. The route to higher wages is through change.
As wages continue to fall behind the soaring inflation of 10% in July, strikes have hit a variety sectors including the judiciary and railways.
Royal Mail stated that it is working with customers to minimize disruptions and delays during strikes.
