A new report claims that Russell Brand left an engaged couple in utter disarray after he took over the pub and cancelled their wedding plans.
The comedian and actor, 42, and his wife Laura Gallacher, 34, recently purchased a Grade II-listed pub called the Crown Inn, in Pishill, Henley-on-Thames.
According to The Oxford Mail, teetotal Russell refused to accept any bookings for weddings that were made under previous owners after he bought the place.

Stephanie Wareham and Stephen Hare booked their wedding there for next May and they claim they have been refunded their £1,400 deposit but lost out on a £1,500 deposit for other expenses.
They told the publication: ”Russell Brand cancelled my wedding’ is not something I ever thought I’d say.
“It’s very sad that he allowed himself to attend two weddings but has prevented me from attending one. He would surely think that he would be able to pay all of those he’s disappointed.

She expressed hope for compensation and said: “You would definitely think that he would be able to pay all of the couples that he has let down by cancelling the weddings of their loved ones as a gesture to goodwill. So I will wait to hear back from him.”
They also stated that they had received an apology email from the pub for their cancellation.

Nestled in the picturesque Oxfordshire countryside, the Grade II listed coaching house, which dates from the 16th Century – comes with a detached barn which can host weddings for up to 80 people.

When it went on sale in April for offers starting at £850,000, estate agent Rightmove said: ‘The picturesque backdrop of the grounds makes the property an ideal choice for weddings and events and attracts plenty of trade throughout the year.
“The grounds also include a self-contained two-bedroom cottage.
‘And lastly, there is also a separate two-storey outbuilding, which… could easily be converted to further letting accommodation.’

There is a large, paved front patio, a gravel parking area with 35 spots, and a large, fenced-in rear yard with 120 seats.
Russell and his wife were married in an intimate ceremony near their Henley house in August 2017. They have since found success with their other company which specializes in television production.
