RUSSIA–UKRAINE LIVE Volodymyr Zelensky addresses MPs. Kyiv states that Russian troops have lost 12,000 soldiers. Joe Biden will also ban oil imports from Vladimir Putin.










Volodymyr Zilensky addressed Parliament MPs via videolink today in an historical speech.

He stated: “I’d like to share with you the story of the thirteen days war. It was a war we didn’t begin and that we did not want. We must conduct the war because we don’t want to lose anything, not even our country Ukraine.

“Please raise the sanctions pressure against [Russia]This country is a terrorist nation.

“Please make sure our skies in Ukraine are safe.”

As the Russian invasion of Ukraine continued, buses crammed with Ukrainians fled two cities. Today they are safe passages.

United Nations officials claimed that the number of people fleeing the country has reached 2 million, amid Europe’s worst ground war since WWII.

Russian forces have trapped civilians in cities besieged by Russians. Previous attempts at rescuing civilians from danger had failed.

Volodymyr Zelesky, the Ukrainian President, will be speaking to British MPs today at 5PM via videolink.

In Mariupol, a child had died from dehydration. He appealed to the West for air support.

Now in the second week of the invasion, Russian troops are making significant progress in South Ukraine. However, they have remained largely stationary in certain other parts.

Ukrainian volunteers and soldiers have strengthened Kyiv capital with hundreds upon hundreds of checkpoints, barricades, and other security measures to prevent a coup.

Another major city was hit with a constant rain of rockets and shells. The mayor of Bucha, Kyiv’s suburb, reported that heavy artillery fire had been heard.
