Sarah Ferguson, ex-husband of Prince Andrew insists that the Queen is doing a remarkable job and she’s still close like glue with him in an interview with French magazine

Sarah Ferguson has said the Queen is ‘doing well’ as she described her mother-in-law as ‘an icon’  saying she has to ‘pinch herself’ to remind herself how lucky she is.

According to French magazine Paris Match the Duchess described Her Majesty, aged 62 as “an extraordinary woman” and stated that she divorced Prince Andrew, 61, her hardest decision. But, she maintained that they are still close.

Sarah Ferguson said that the Queen was doing well. She described her mother in law as an icon and she needs to “pinch herself” to remember how fortunate she is.

As she attended her first-ever in-person engagement this month, Queen Elizabeth II revealed her health news. This was after her recent health concerns. 

Her Majesty earlier warned After the monarch was unable to address the Church of England’s national assemblies for the first-time in her reign of 69 years, the Earl of Wessex spoke out to say that “none of our can slow the passing of the time”.

She still lives with Prince Andrew at Windsor’s Royal Lodge.

“Andrew, I and he have been able to maintain our friendship and fulfill the duties that were ours. We prioritize the three Cs, communication, compromise, and compassion, as I frequently say.

It comes as she spoke to French radio show C a vous on France 5, where she told presenters she was ‘close like glue’ to Andrew, while she also described her daughters as ‘coolest’ saying they are a ‘tripod’. 

“I was delighted to marry the best man, 23 July 1986. I am proud of that, so I support him. 

She also spoke of her sons-in-law, saying Beatrice’s husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi is ‘very handsome’.

Eugenie added the following to Jack Brooksbank, Eugenie’s husband:  “He sold Tequila to make his mother-in law happy.”

Her Heart For A Compass: The Duchess Of York is an fictionalized account of Lady Margaret Montagu Douglas Scott’s life. It draws from Sarah’s personal life and includes research into her ancestry.

Marguerite Kaye co-wrote the book. She has more than 50 historical romances, set in different eras.

After hitting shelves on August 1, it was mostly criticized in the media.

The book was criticized by critics as ‘boring’,’slog’, and having an insipid’ main character and a tone which oscillates between contemporary and archaic. Almost all commented on the lack of sex and said it was at the ‘PG end’ of Mills & Boon.

Sarah stated that she was ‘unified’ behind the project with Margarete Kaye (co-author) at the time. Margarete has more than 60 books.

In 2022, she will publish her second romance historical novel. This book will be written with Kaye.
