A search has been launched for an 11-year-old schoolgirl after she disappeared within the Scottish Borders yesterday night.

Kaitlyn Easson was final seen within the Gala Park space of the city of Galashiels round 5.30pm on February 5, 2023.

Her disappearance has been described as ‘out of character’.

She is described as being round 5ft 2in, of slim construct with lengthy blonde hair.

When final seen, she was carrying a white jumper, brown trousers and boots.

​Inspector Robbie Noble, of Police Scotland, stated: ‘That is very out of character for Kaitlyn and we’re rising more and more involved for her.
