Noose tightens Insulate Britain. Second police force requests that angry motorists come forward and help to put eco-zealots behind bars

  • Insulate Britain’s activist antics brought many roads to a halt through their advocacy.
  • Surrey Police now want to know how they can collect the most evidence
  • Anyone who has been affected by the roadblocks will be able to talk to them.

An additional police force asked motorists affected by Insulate Britain for their help.

Surrey Police are building a case against the protesters who targeted a number of junctions of the M25 and M3 on September 13, 15, 17 and 21.

The Crown Prosecution Service will be able to use the evidence from the trial to demonstrate the effects of activists on the daily lives of people.

It comes after Essex Police said they wanted to speak to people who could not attend medical appointments, planned work or missed anything significant due to the motorway chaos.

After Essex Police stated that they want to talk to anyone who was unable to attend appointments or plan work due to motorway chaos, it is now.

38 people were taken into custody in Surrey for protesting the M25’s hard shoulder. The incident occurred at 7.57am, September 21.

After the protestors made their way onto the clockwise and anti-clockwise carriageways of motorway, police arrived at the scene in three minutes.

The earlier demonstrations at J6 (14 of M25) on September 13, J8 (10 on September 15), J9 (15 of M25) and J1 (17 of M3 on Sept 17) caused more disruption. Drivers were stopped for hours, and divertions were made.

During the four days of activity on Surrey’s roads, the protesters were arrested on suspicion of a variety of offences, including criminal damage, causing danger to road users, wilful obstruction of the highway and causing a public nuisance.

This is the moment that vehicles are forced to break on the M25 as protesters make their way across the carriageway

This is where vehicles have to abandon the M25 and protesters march across the carriageway.

More than 30 protesters were seen running into flowing traffic near Woking. There were groups on both sides of the eight lane motorway

A total of 30 demonstrators were seen running in the direction of Woking into traffic. Both sides of the 8-lane motorway were occupied by groups.

Steven Cassidy is a temporary detective sergeant and is part of the team. He said that he wanted to show the Crown Prosecution Service the best evidence possible to reflect the severity of the situation, in order to pursue the appropriate charges.

“Therefore we appeal for any person who has suffered severe personal impacts as a result.

“Please only speak up if your life has been seriously affected.

‘You also need to be willing to provide us with a statement and then go to court to give your evidence for any trials that may follow – this could mean more than one visit to court as we may have a situation where we are running a number of trials.

‘I must reiterate that the impact needs to be serious – it cannot just be that it was inconvenient.’

He said, “My team continues to work tirelessly in collecting evidence to ensure that anyone violating the law is brought before justice.”

“This included going through a lot of social media to discover the stories of individuals who were severely affected by these protests.

‘If that was you, and you have not already come forward, please do so – we would really like to hear from you.’
