Song Ji-a (or Freezia as she is known online) was a Korean influencer who became one of the country’s most prominent stars just a few weeks back.
After her appearance on Single’s Inferno’s South Korean dating program, her popularity skyrocketed. She was admired for her stylish wardrobe and her confident demeanour.
But her fame plummeted as fast as she rose, after it was discovered that all the expensive items she had been showing off on social media were fake.

After fans found out that Song Ji-a was a designer knock-off, her luxurious lifestyle as a fashion blogger and influencer in Korea has seen her fall from grace
Ji-a wore fake designer clothes at Single’s Inferno. She also featured dodgy knockoffs on sponsored Instagram posts, and fashion haul videos for YouTube.
She wore a Dior counterfeit handbag during a sponsorship ad featuring the Miss Dior perfume.
It’s common for influencers on social media to exaggerate the lives of their followers for clout. Ji-a’s fauxry is particularly damaging because her whole image was based upon wealth and privilege.
Due to Single’s Inferno appearance, she gained more than 3 million Instagram followers. She became the star of the show thanks to her seemingly idyllic lifestyle.

Popular: Following her appearance on Netflix’s Single’s Inferno, the 25-year-old’s popularity exploded, earning her millions of followers on Instagram and YouTube
Her good looks and style earned her a lot of admirers. She was also known for her ‘golden spoon,’ which is a Korean term that refers to someone born into wealth.
She spoke of living in Seoul Forest Trimage which she described as one of the most sought-after apartment buildings in the country. It is also a favorite among K-pop stars and celebrities.
Hanyang University is one of Korea’s most prestigious schools. This only increased her appeal in an education-obsessed nation.
Fans discovered that she had been an undergraduate dancer at Hanyang and was not a designer. Others claimed that her apartment might have been rented out by her Chinese management company.

Fake: Not only did she wear counterfeit designer clothes on Single’s Inferno (pictured), Ji-a had gone even further by featuring dodgy knock-offs in sponsored Instagram posts and YouTube fashion haul videos
One Korean fan wrote, “At this speed, she should just delete her Instagram Account,”
She lied about being a celebrity with a golden spoon… and all the arrogant boasting about how she beat anyone in Single’s Inferno. What? Your luxury brands’?
Another writer wrote that despite being paid thousands of dollars for their brand advertising, the influencer she used to promote a Dior bag was actually committing fraud.
“It is a problem that she lied in order to increase her views and make money from them. It’s all a fraud, right? The third person added that viewers would not be able to keep calm if they are being fooled by the lies.
“It is embarrassing because it’s honest. This makes it seem like she’s embarrassed about her past. Another complained that she could have made videos on affordable, good dupes.

Deceptive: In one instance, she brandished a counterfeit handbag from Dior in a sponsored ad for the brand’s Miss Dior perfume (pictured)
People hate her because she made herself out to be the perfect woman. A fan added that she would not have been so concerned if she had just admitted to being an average college student living in a single studio.
Ji-a posted a heartfelt, handwritten apology to her followers on Instagram last week. She also apologized for infringing on the brands of designer brands.
“As someone who dreams of starting a company, I’ll be aware of the controversy and take stock. Alle content that contained fakes has been removed. She also apologized to brands that were hurt by me.

Was it all a fabrication? Although it is not unusual for influencers on social media to exaggerate the lives of their followers for clout and power, Ji-a has been particularly bad for fans because her whole image was based upon wealth and privilege
However, controversy over the apology has grown as designer fauxs keep surfacing.
After referring to South Korea’s national dish, Kimchi, as “pao cai”, a Chinese term that refers to pickled vegetables, she is now under fire.
Unknown Korean proclaimed that Kimchi should be called Kimchi, no matter where it is located.
Is Kimchi pao cai? You are kidding me! “Just go to China,” said another.

Golden girl? She was a golden girl?
‘Sure… “Sure… While I would not consider myself a patriot I do understand why she does this …’.
“I don’t mind the scandal she caused, but playing with Kimchi is a violation of the law.”
Ji-a deleted all her posts on social media after the kimchi incident, with the exception of her Instagram handwritten apology and a YouTube video apology.

Backlash: She is also under fire for her perceived pro-Chinese sentiment, after a video (pictured above) on one of her Chinese social media channels saw her refer to South Korea’s national dish kimchi as ‘pao cai’, a Chinese term for pickled vegetables
“I could have done more as someone running a YouTube channel. I have damaged the brand’s value by using counterfeit products,’ she said, according to Koreaboo.
“Furthermore,” I’m sorry to have deceived everyone who had once believed in my abilities.
“In the beginning I purchased the products solely because I liked them. Then I started to get a lot love from the general public. I wasn’t able to come to my senses and I found myself falling deeper into them [fakes]She continued.

“I have disappointed all who believed in me”: A 25-year old hid her shameful face in an apologies video that was posted to YouTube Tuesday
“I fell for them repeatedly” [fakes]Even more, I focused my attention on Song Ji-a that I was going to present to the public.
“I’ve been thinking about my choices every day. My mistakes are obvious and I’m sorry for them. I was living and reflecting upon my actions. I am sorry.’
Then she said, “Everything is my fault. So I request that you stop criticizing my family.” I’m sorry.’
Also, the young star said that she would take time off to “reflect” on her actions.

A smash hit! Single’s Inferno, which premiered on Netflix December 12, has become a massive hit and is being compared to Love Island.
Interviews with her and other appearances were already recorded. However, screen time was cut down and she has sometimes been dropped from certain shows.
Although Ji-a is now officially cancelled in Korea, her Single’s Inferno stars are still enjoying the fame.
Kang Soyeon from Cast was featured as the cover girl of Korea’s Maxim Magazine. Shin Ji-yeon is a sponsor for Alexander Wang and Chanel.

Is there a new queen bee? Ji-a was effectively cancelled in Korea. Shin Jiyeon, however, is Shin Ji-yeon’s co-star and has been sponsored by Chanel (and Alexander Wang).
Single’s Inferno was first aired on Netflix December 12, and it has been ranked among the top ten shows worldwide for the past two weeks.
Slow-paced, the series is about a group consisting of singleton sex who find themselves on a deserted island. They are forced to cohabit.
Due to limited supplies and intense summer heat, the team must collaborate in order survive while overcoming daily challenges.

She’s fit! Kang Soyeon, a Cast member, was recently featured on the cover of Korea’s Maxim magazine. (pictured). She has also amassed 1.2 million Instagram followers.
Surprise! Singles can’t share their occupations or ages with one another. They must rely solely on their natural charms to make a connection.
They can get away from the “inferno” for one night by getting together and heading to paradise, a nearby luxury hotel where they can do whatever they want.
Similar to Gogglebox’s style, celebrities and comedians from Korea watch the show and then react in real time to it throughout its episodes.
Although it isn’t as popular as Western dating programs like Love Island or Tinder, Singles Inferno was a huge success in Asia. It has also made international headlines.

Premise: The slow-paced series follows a group of sexy singletons stranded on a deserted island and forced to live together
