Sir Sidney Poitier has died at 94.

The Hollywood actor’s loss of life has been confirmed by Minister of Overseas Affairs Fred Mitchell, based on Eyewitness News Bahamas.    

His reason behind loss of life will not be but recognized. 

Poitier was the primary black actor to win an Academy Award for Greatest Actor in 1964.  

His trailblazing appearing profession noticed him earn two additional Academy Award nominations, ten Golden Globes nominations, two Primetime Emmy Awards nominations, six BAFTA nominations, eight Laurel nominations, and one Display Actors Guild Awards nomination. 

Actor Jeffrey Wright lead tributes on Friday, tweeting: ‘Sidney Poitier. What a landmark actor. Certainly one of a form. What a lovely, gracious, heat, genuinely regal man. RIP, Sir. With love.’
